*3/13 Update the Review is in!* G700 "Chip In Fund"

Until Fenix learns how to spell Phoenix correctly, I’ll keep calling “Fenn-icks”… lol

This isn't much better from Fasttech. There's a few over priced kit models with this one at $67:

They only go up to G90 though, haven't reached the G700 pinnacle yet Smile.

^ Watched that video…. it’s a joke of a demonstration. It clearly is not any different than any other aspheric zooming light. Nothing at all like the doctored up and fake images in the advertisements. The guy using the light in the video handles it as if it is some super dangerous weapon. Not impressed.

It’s a decent flood light, that’s really about all. And worth $6.99 on the slow boat from China.

i will look and see if i can borrow this light for shipment to a reviewer.
going to feel weird printing postage in excess of what it cost shipped from china to ship it to someone in the usa!
but a virgin sample should be reviewed.this one is tainted with my improvements.

How about a sign-up list for users who would review this, then forward it along to the next one on the list? See if we can swamp youtube with unbiased reviews regarding this lights abysmal performance. The packet could contain the G700 and the $6 generic model, to do a side-by-side comparison review.

This is an even better idea!

I like that idea! The problem is going to be shipping and if people want “compensation” for doing the review or not. I’d love to see a dozen reviews on the light from users on BLF, but everyone is going to have to agree to pay their own shipping to the next person on the list.

Within the US, shipping shouldn’t be an issue. I wouldn’t mind spending a few dollars to ship a light along after a brief review if it helps get word out on the street to warn potential buyers away.

Once it’s been through the channels here, maybe the light could be shipped to a European POC who could then start the process overseas.

Unfortunately, the widespread marketing of this scam is working… I work with several uninitiated flashaholics who have asked me about this light, based on the Ads they are seeing online. I’ve pointed several of them to this forum, and showed them the actual light that is being advertised. Fortunately, I’m not aware of any who have actually purchased this light.

Nicron? Is that supposed to fool Nitecore buyers? I’d expect to see that name on a camera in an anime.

Can this G700 be bought with PayPal?
Let’s all order one and open dispute if that is the case. And while we are at it write reviews…
Dang credit card is needed and I do not want to give them the info.

Nope - charge cards only, looks like - I thought of that too .

Yeah I just checked it :frowning:
Problem is my French is not good enough, sorry because I can create a virtual credit card with limited amount and exp date on our online bank environment.
If I could communicate in English I would order one paying like this so I could start a fight over it (like I do on AliExpress with great success)

If you go on their site & use their online chat you can ask if there is any other way of paying besides debit/credit card to which the reply is that if you don”t want to give your details online they will ring you so that you can give them over the phone.
If you ask any technical questions such as confirmation of the led in the light they cut off your chat J)

I would be happy to review it and pass it along to the next reviewer. Google should also put my legit review above the fake ones. Just putting the word “review” into the tagline usually puts me on page 1 of searches. And there’s my personal conundrum: just like others here, I wont give that scammer company any money. But I would pay the 6 bucks to ship it priority mail to the next reviewer in the queue.

Just saw this thread. It’s funny, my dad gave me a flashlight for Christmas, sort of an afterthought gift, and I saw it was cheap junk and said, “thanks Dad, that’s cool.” Then I put it in a box and the other day I happened to see it and pulled it out and it said G700 on the side and I cracked up.

Having said that, I’d be happy to give it away to someone if they want to review it. Paypal for the shipping it all I’d ask. I don’t have the box, only the light, but it is in pristine condition. You guys are welcome to it.

A guy claiming to be from Shadowhawk Tactical showed up in the /r/flashlight community on Reddit a day ago. He was hawking his X800 light, which looks just like this thing and all the rest. He offered to send a review unit to prove how good it is, but when approached to actually set that up he disappeared. His posting has now been deleted.

If you’re serious about giving away your review light I’d take it. Heck I’d pay the shipping for you to send it to me for review then I’d send it back to you. I already know I won’t want to keep it

It makes me sad when friends/family do this… I feel bad for them… :_(

What you need to do is take that light, put in a dedomed XP-G2, or something similar, bump up the current, and even JB-Weld pot if necessary, then next time you see your dad, talk about the flashlight, and how you were able to tweak it and make it “even better”, then show him the beam at night…
Smile, and appreciate the thought.

In the past month, I’ve have bought a Zebralight SC62, SC63w is on order, Fenix TK75vnQ, Nitecore TM16GT, Nitcore p12GT, Nitecore EC11, Nitecore tube, Nightcore HC30, Olight m22 warrior, Olight M3xs-ut, Olight S1, not to mention a new Xstar VC4 charger and multiple 18650 cells.

I say that to say, yes of course you can have this light for review, I was actually going to toss it or give it away. I’m not much on square beam, orange tailcap, 3aa lights myself.

PM me your shipping info and I’ll get you my paypal for the shipping. Shouldn’t be much at all. If you review it and turns out to be the best light ever made, I can always ask for it back!

Well I was in for $5 if it went to good cause not the scammers so I am still in for $5 with this idea
