On the topic of sending money, does anyone use an app called Cash? All mobile, requires a checking acct with debit card, allows you to send cash free (I. E. PayPal doesn’t take a cut!)
Paypal is free to send $ to family and friends, only costs when used to pay for a product or service.
You send it as personal/gift, from checking or pp balance, to avoid the fee.
Still in for the $5 on this or the original idea, just let me know…
Wow… that light is a joke. They (as in Shadowhawk Tactical themselves) told us on Reddit that the cells that are manufactured in Southern California but obviously that’s complete bullshit. I certainly thought the cells looked familiar and I found them… they’re exactly like the Ultrafire cells which everyone knows are crap.
OP, I wouldn’t even bother having everyone pitch in money to review this light. It’s a waste of money and time IMO. I pretty much called them out for trying to scam people with a piece of shit product.

Awesome news, I spoke to mhanlen, and he has agreed to do the side-by-side review for us!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Mark’s work (mhanlen), check out his YouTube Channel He’s reviewed quite a few flashlights already, and has some pretty hilarious commentary. He also has a pretty strong following already (one of his reviews has over a quarter of a million hits), so I think this would be the perfect vehicle to get the review out there.
I’m talking to 2 guys who have the G700, and am trying to sort out the details of who has the most original, “in the box” stock flashlight. My MECO “clone” light is being delivered today, so it will be ready to ship to mhanlen as well.
Big thanks to everyone involved already, and to the guys willing to chip in to see this review done. It definitely speaks volumes about this community

2/12 Update
I spoke to Richard at Mountain Electronics, and he graciously offered a $10 gift voucher to his shop 
2 members on here offered up their G700’s for the review, but decided to go with Slim Pickens since he had the entire kit that is sold on Limitact’s website (flashlight, batteries, charger, case).
I’m going to send out a message with my Paypal to everyone who signed up to donate to the cause. I’ll to be the middle man for the $$$, so it gets sent to mhanlen and Slim Pickens for shipping. Any extra will go to the guy’s for their work on this. In order to alleviate any questions as to what the donations are going towards, I’m going to update this thread with a breakdown of expenses, so every penny will be accounted for.
Thank you guys for seeing this through, I’m pretty excited to see the final review!

I really hope there are a lot of people who are
1 willing to make a review of the G700 and Meco
2 willing to send it to the next who is on par with 1 and 2
If we flood the web with reviews and new ones to incorporate the new names it could be a fun project.

Jason, unfortunately we are not able to buy Slim Pickens light, unless he is wanting to sell it for a lot cheaper than he paid for it. We just didn’t raise enough money to buy a “community light,” which I’m now thinking is for the best. Instead, we’re just trying to cover the shipping costs, and use whatever is left over, as a gift card to Mountain Electronics for mhanlen and Slim Pickens.
Hank, I think we have enough funds to cover the shipping all ways, and still pull off a $10 gift card for both guys. I greatly appreciate the offer, and may call on you next week, once we determine exact shipping costs. I’m hoping that the donations we have already will cover everything
SlimP, would you be willing to share your “full kit” with reviewers, and then take it back if you think it’s worth a lot of money?
I know people feel like “the more you paid the more it’s worth” — but it’s not worth much, really.
Except as a horrible example to share.
I’d offer Slim a S2+ as a gift direct-ordered from RMM, if he’d let his “more expensive” light kit be passed around for reviews for a while.
