Ditto on the Fire in the brand name. I received a pen light and a keychain light for review. Both are excellent quality. I would have never tried your products if it weren’t for this forum. The brand needs to differentiate itself from the cheap imitation products, especially at first impression when shopping. The reviews DO help, especially on Amazon which is the Go-to place for the general public to evaluate products prior to purchasing.

If you create some sort of easy to damage seal that is broken when somebody opens it up other then for changing the battery AND ou chec all products before they leave the factry it should be doable to extend this to all products, as fas as I know this would be uniqe, even A brand expensive manufacterers give customers the run around so ths wuld set you apart in a more then good way

I found Thorfire through slickdeals. After a little due diligence, and reviews here on BLF, I bought one of the c8’s back in July. Since, I’ve ordered 3 more, I’ve got a TG06 that should be delivered any day, and because I’m a sucker for a deal, I just ordered a JM07, lol.
I’m not sure the link to Slickdeals you provided was the right one, but a recent one for the C8 kind of struck a nerve. I can understand someone being upset at getting a malfunctioning light, but folks piling on who probably have never held one, made me respond. Especially since they quoted something from BLF.
I think it’s great that you are here, looking for inspiration for new products, and responding as a regular.

I believe ThorFire lights are well made products, the quality is on par with other brands and makes. Specifically the drivers are interesting and more versatile compared to the regular AK47/nanjg drivers

The C8S I have is great, very impressed with it even as a relative noob when it comes to shiny shiny things.
Disappointed I missed out on the TM07 deal even though I got an email conformation - never mind.

TG06 and C8s are brilliant flashlights.
Perfect quality out of the factory. They don’t need any “fixing” or “modding” for the general public… The prices are also amazing.
BUT they are also both great for modding if the need arises… 
I now have an XP-L V6 2C in my C8s and an XP-L HI V2 3D in my TG06. Drivers left unchanged.
Both lights get regular use every day, and are running like clockwork.
I wouldn’t hesitate to buy more.

Year of the monkey, and that was a good post Thorfire, it sounds like you sincerely care about your flashlights and brand name.
When I first read the OP I thought Thorfire was looking for what animal represented the CNY in general rather than this particular new year.
So while this may be the year of the Monkey, I would say that to me here in the US, the animal that represents Chinese New Year is the Bear. It is a great big lumbering beast that shows up semi-unexpectedly (around the same time, but not on the same date) and goes to sleep for a while. Then it wakes up, yawns, stretches, looks around and slowly gets back to doing whatever the beeeep it wants to do.

And Thorfire won my respect when they directly addressed comments made on this very forum in the thread about the PF01 about a year ago. We expressed what changes we wanted to see and with a little lead time, they made most of the changes and sent out samples for approval.
actually b4 the name “ThorFire” becomes too big I’d like you to consider a name change to something that doesn’t contain “——FIRE” in its name. I feel ThorFire produces good products & having the word”Fire” in it’s name associates a bad reputation which it does not deserve & will thus always have to overcome. oh & happy new year!
