One of my Al X5 was doing the same or similar to yours. It corrected itself after doing a tear down, clean and lube job. Not sure of the cause, but happy it worked. There was some shavings around threads and loose around the internal components, but that is an observation, not a causal factor.
Thanks TK. Did a tear down, clean and lube. Everything tightened up nicely. Tailcaps switched and no change. I will contemplate getting a solder iron to investigate/troubleshoot more. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Outer packaging was beat and ripped open, but the foam and cardboard box were OK. Inside, the wooden box and lights looked fine. They shifted inside some but could not find any blems.
I have matching serials # 69 (hurr hurrâŚ)
They work great. Love the UI! Tint is not as warm as I would prefer but I wouldnât call it cool. Itâs truly neutral. Not bad at all.
I just wanted to say Thanks to all the members at BLF Krono, Bugsy, PilotDog, TK and on and on, just another wonderful project and certainly a HUGE success, Thank You Everyone Involved in this projectâŚ!!
Edit: Just got through setting up UI and this light is just spectacular #6 fixed some issues I was personally having, so edited out my stupid comments, sorryâŚ
I love the voltage check, extremely easy to understand, I wasnât prepared for the 9/10Ths blink and thought Iâd broke something, try to count that, itâs fast for me,
Also nice touch with the 1/8th or so back off on the switch to turn off pilotdogs lighted tail cap, fantastic.
Edit: DeleteâŚ
I have actually realized that I do have favorite lights based on the switch action,
Thanks everyone who worked so hard, this is one beautiful light.
Edit: Just finished with programing X5&X6 andâTKâ* you did not miss a thing, some of my issues previously mentioned above (deleted) are resolved at many levels, I thought Iâd read this UI instructions many times but apparently I really wasnât getting it until now with light in hand, UI is just Fantastic, ThanksâŚ!*
I know exactly what you mean! Although, I must say my wife was very impressed with these new lights and that is quite an accomplishment considering her feelings towards what she calls my ânew obsessionâ.
Okay I left work early only to get home 30 minutes too late I missed my lights by 30 minutes. Now Iâm hunting down our mail lady, she is suppose to meet me at the post office at 3:00 to give me my lights hopefully!
Aintâ that the way of it! If youâre a bit behind, theyâre early. If youâre early, theyâre hours late. Iâve even watched tracking and knew the package was on the truck for delivery, was walking down to the mailbox when a sub drove up, stuffed a notice in the box, and drove away. He was 200 yds down the road at the next mailbox and I was out in the street trying to flag him down. Bass* drove away with my stuff! I called the Post Office and talked to the manager and threw a tissy fit. lol
That âSorry we missed youâ stuff, when they donât even try, really gets me riled. lol
Also had a $400 Titanium light coming with signature required labeling. Happened to be standing outside talking to a neighbor when I saw the mail carrier coming down the roadâŚanother sub stuck that expensive package in the big rural mailbox 300 yds down the lane and drove off while I watched. I honestly donât know where they find these guysâŚ.
I am still impatiently waiting for my set, pacing, checking the box, checking the tracking⌠but I admit I am already very grateful as well. I feel pretty lucky. And it is not going unnoticed how the organizers are still working and troubleshooting, every day, through the individual issues members are experiencing with their new lights, teaching and offering corrective solutions, fielding all questions. When the time comes, I expect my hand might need a little holding as well, and their attentiveness to this project has eliminated all concern. Assuming the organizers donât feel too beat up by the randomness beyond their control, all will be well. This has thus far been an amazing journey, literally an illuminating adventure.
Thank you, organizers⌠and Keep up the good work! Weâre all counting on you!!
jk on that last part, I really hope there is no pressure felt from our ranks. Weâre just not worth it. Donât sweat the small stuff, and its all small stuff.
I received mine yesterday and WOW. Even the family agreed that they were nice lights. Thanks again guys and gal. Orsm team effort. I cant thank you all enough.
118/400 checking in finally!! WOOOOWWWW!!! These lights are amazing hands down the best looking lights I have and the brightest! Thank you to everyone who had anything to do with these masterpieces! Now waiting for the night to fall! And as a side note there is nothing wrong with my lights at all, BEAUTIFUL!
Funny you say that. My wife didnât get too excited about them. She said they were very pretty but too heavy. Then again she doesnât get too excited about any of my lights. My kids, on the other hand, wonât leave them alone. Between all the shiny metal and the neat lighted tailcaps, theyâve quickly become favorites. Little rugrats werenât supposed to get these lights for another 50ish years but theyâre trying to claim them early. I guess I shoulda ordered a couple extra sets
PS: Thanks to ToyKeeper for the muggle mode. Its definitely getting used at my house.
Iâm out of state on a installation and yesterday evening my (2) SS/Cu w numbered boxâs came in. I lost one of my SS/Cu w Box set to my wife! She owns a few Sinner, Over Ready,Vinh 54, PFlexPro, Surefire, and a few of my special Custom and Modded lights and upon her inspection exclaimed, âThese are some bad azz lightâs!!â Iâll have #50 thanks hun! Need I say more? I guess I get SS/Cu w Box set #139? Both setâs by her critical inspection are perfect! Zero Flaws! She is charging up the 14500âs I got from RMM as we speak! And here I am 2-3 weeks before I go home for a weekend off? :_( Thanks âTeam KRONOSâ outstanding job!!!
