I’m in depending on final price.
I expect this light to be released somewhere this month or next month. Though nothing is sure.
No battery and charger included. Simon does sell some 26650’s but I dont know how capable those are for this light.
For battery’s and chargers I recommend eu.nkon.nl.
As for the 15% discount, when you order send Simon a message with your order number and specify that you want the BLF discount. He should then change your order total.
Or as I have done it before (when paying with paypal), send a message, to his aliexpress store, saying what you want and that you want to use the BLF discount. He then sends the total amount and his paypal, then you just pay him through the paypal system. Sends a message when you’ve paid including the payment number.
That all sounds about right. Especially the nothing is sure part! 
CNY throws a big old wrench into the works and add to that he just moved to a new factory. With all these factors I’m not expecting to hear much of anything from Simon for a week or so. Once I have some feedback from him I’ll be updating the various threads.
Really curious about the L6, especially with this new thorfire s70.
Both are XHP70 lights, both have side switches and both are dual cell 26650 lights…

I hope Simon can figure everything out and make this L6 a real winner!
How interesting… It looks like perhaps the competition has been reading my posts. I knew this was a risk going in. My thought on that is there’s no problem posting future designs as long as Simon can do it better. I guess we’ll have to wait and see…

So I had to check out the Amizone link and the one review written by “Nickiii” which was quite obviously written in China using a bunch of buzzwords and generic nonsense and ironically takes a lot of hints from this very thread… “Her” other reviews are also all 5 star reviews for a variety of generic Chinese goods. “Nickiii” was apparently created 2 weeks ago and has 26 reviews. All are 5 stars. She is quite fortunate to have such luck finding amazing quality goods online without a single negative experience. 
When I saw the S70, the first thought I had was that it looked like the love child of the Jax X6 and proposed Convoy L6.
Anyways, I’m about to post my S70 review… it’s pretty good.
It looks like it might be a good light. I look forward to reading a real review unlike the painfully obvious fabricated review by “Nickiii”. One of the reasons I respect Simon is the he doesn’t post fake reviews to sell his lights. He lets his work speak for itself…

I have never owned a Convoy light, but the popularity of the brand has not gone unnoticed. I was thinking real hard about the Thorfire S70. I think I will give Convoy a chance to sway me.
I’ll definitely give convoy a chance, but only if Simon bring it out quick } .
No serious, always good to see some competition. Now we get a choice between 2 good budget lights.

Well, what I can tell you for certain is the L6 will be more… refined. :face_with_monocle: Thorfire moves fast, I’ll give them that. I talked to Simon about the S70 already. He is not concerned. I agree that honest competition is good. I think the L6 will have a few things that will make it stand out side by side with this one. This looks to me very much like the Jax X6 hunter with a side button. I guess only time will tell, but if Simon isn’t worried… then neither am I.
Based on the reviews of Pilotdog68 on here and kj75 on CPF, I think two big improvements the L6 can have over the s70 is the ability to have quicker mode changes and a lower low. Something down in the 5-10 lumen range would be great and maybe a hidden moonlight for an extended runtime.

I know… I’m right there with you. I am just now and s-l-o-w-l-y getting back in communication with Simon. It is not yet the regular communication I am used to. Aside from the normal CNY thing Simon moved to a new factory and has several issues to address. What I can tell you is that this delay is in part due to Simon not wanting to release this light until it is right. It should prove worth the wait. Hang in there friends!
I don’t know if it has been mentioned, but he has a notice up on his shop at ali that he has “severe periarthritis of shoulder”, which probably isn’t helping either. 
I check this thread everyday. I have seen this notice. It’s very sad.

I want to buy L2 with XP-L HI and replace LED on XHP70 with this driver:

Is it possible? And how effective it will be?
Should work pretty well, 3A isn’t really pushing a 6V emitter hard so it shouldn’t make extreme heat issues. Don’t know if that driver can take being resistor modded, some of those style don’t fare well trying that.
As long as the diameter fits or you can make it fit, should work pretty nicely.
