So, at first I have to apologise - I had the White-Balance set to manual at first
The battery is hold in place with some tape and isn’t directly soldered to the pcb - it uses a plug (plug and jack were glued together, so I had to tip them both off)
2.5Ah instead of 2.6Ah? I want my germoney back!
And that’s how this thing seals up - the big nut presses the conical part onto the O-Ring and therefore press it to the outer tube.
Nice, thank you for these pictures. When did you order yours? Waiting for my 2 units and the tracking code doesn’t work… This is an unprotected cell, right?
Nice, thanks for the pictures. So to open it you just pull both ends apart?
I thought the heatsink would be a half moon shape containing the battery, because my non waterproof model in extended operation at high modes does get pretty hot.
I did a runtime test with my unit. It shut off after 7 hours and 10 minutes at the high setting. You can turn it on again after it shut off automatically. I got another minute at high until it shut off again. You can do this again and again… At the moment I test how long it takes to charge.
The cell protection circuit is done by “classic” DW01-P IC (U4 in SOT23-6 case near micro USB connector) and dual MOSFET 8205A (U8 in TSSOP-8). The U2 seems to be an USB charging logic for battery, but I cannot found the datasheet.
Logic for driving the LED diodes is U3; microcontroller, which driving buck-smps in CC mode. So bad it’s some of unknown Chinese uC, beacuse I wanted to re-write SW to remove red strobo function and add more white LED current modes.
