OK I made an adjustment that I hope will improve or eliminate the issue with hanging tabs opened in quick succession. Iād appreciate your experiences.
With all the beautifull BLF special flashlightsā¦.
Canāt anybody who has them take a picture with a white background to replace the current pic?
I mean, de Kronos set would look better then the now widely despised SRK that is shown right?
Funny, those lights were specifically chosen recently by members of BLF to be put up on the page, replacing what was there before. That SRK is one TK owns and modded a while back. And the light on the left is the original BLF X6-SE, from the first GB with Eagle Eye. The light on the right is simply a SK-68 zoomie.
OK, the BLF Community-Moderated Spam Control SystemĀ® is now in place and seems to be working correctly. Please remember that BLF is not Reddit, so please do NOT use the spam button to mark posts you disagree with. Thanks! (Please take a look at the instructions on how to use the SPAM button.)
Well, BLF does start with āBudgetāā¦ and the Kronos set is arguably not ābudgetā. Iād also argue that BLF is more about making than about consuming. So I think the cheaper lights in the current logo are still more representative. Make something awesome. Plus, they won the vote (except for disagreement about whether to use a P60 or C8, and then the X6 got used instead).
Lights like the Kronos set are niceā¦ but theyāre not what BLF is really about.
I wouldnāt mind a minor logo upgrade though, to add translucency and clean up Moire patterns on some edges: (current logo on top, suggested upgrade on bottom)
! Really? Even setting aside the fact that the image is actually of TKās fancy SRKā¦. The SRK is not widely despised AFAIK. In fact, as far as I can see itās still fairly widely sought after, despite the common knowledge of the quality issues with clones. If anything that seems to indicate that it is still widely loved! Just my two cents. :-/
EDIT: Hopefully I donāt sound too troll-ish! āwidely despisedā just seemed like quite a bit of an over-statement.
Iām getting some weird behaviors on poll threads. Non-poll threads work fine, but on polls Iāve noticed the following:
Comment titles are recorded and shown.
No signatures are displayed.
If I click an option in the poll widget on the left, then hit vote, it takes me to the wrong thread and gives me an error (but this happened pre-upgrade too). For example, I select ā14500ā then āvoteā. Instead of going to thread 44579, I get thread 45027 and āThe form has become outdated. Copy any unsaved work in the form below and then reload this pageā.
If I scroll to the bottom of a poll thread, write a comment, and hit āpreviewā, I get āThe form has become outdated. Copy any unsaved work in the form below and then reload this pageā.
If I vote in a poll then scroll to the bottom to write a comment, hit āpreviewā, then hit āsaveā, it results in cancelling my vote and dropping my comment.
I can investigate these more to get more details if you likeā¦ just wanted to note these before I forgot.
Unfortunately this appears to be a limitation of the signatures module, which has definitely regressed in functionality in the 7.x version.
I havenāt seen this yet, but of course I donāt deny that it happened to you. I imagine they didnāt test the code with non-standard browsers. If you can get it to do so again Iāll file a bug report.
Also appears to be poor browser compatibility testing. If this is consistently happening to you Iāll also file a bug report.
Confirmed with the latest Firefox for Linux. Iāll file a bug report.
