Convoy S2+ xm-l2 driver mode spacing question

Hello, I bought nanjg 105c with 6 amc7135 (2.1 amps). It’s the one with four stars to solder the favourite modes.
My question is, should I choose 10% - 100% (approx. 80-800 lm) or 5% - 30% - 100% (40 lm-250lm-800lm).
Which is Your preference of the mode spacing and why?

Thank you.

I personally go with either lo-hi or lo-hi-strobe option if I were to choose Nanjg stock modes

if only the low of lo-hi was lower like other lows then it’ll be my top priority.
But since the lo-hi isn’t 5% but 10% I’d take the effort to tolerate the strobe just for lower lows.

In the end I ended up struggling and learning how to flash drivers from the pros in this forum and got perfect modes for myself

I would opt for 5-30-100. I use my S2+ at work and 100% is going to get hot. It’s nice to have a decently bright medium to manually drop back to in order to cool down but still have some brightness to it.

I’d suggest that only you can assess your usage habits and purpose & needs.

I use mine at night around the house, almost always on 5%.

Mine are presently set up as 8*7135 and 3*7135. I have a 1*7135 on order.

Oh, ok guys. I think i’ll go for 10-100% (heat shouldn’t be issue on high, because I’ll use MCPCB and the high is mostly for outside so …). I’m not into moonlight modes yet, so that should suit me well for the first EDC. Thank you all !

If you had some time, could you send me some links about driver flashing?
Thanks in advance

Curiosity gets the best of me sometimes. Why would you go with a 1*7135…just wondering.

Hmmmm…. A 1x7135 Qlite with Moonlight low enabled…

That would be a nice alternative to the illumnated tailswitch mod. :-}

I’m mainly interested in a lower low. The 15-20 lumens on the 3*7135 are still too bright for my night-adjusted vision.

I figure the 1*7135 will bring it down to around 5 lumens.

Ideally, 1 or 2 lumens would be preferably. But I think I can get by with 5.

The high of about 150 lumens on the 1*7135 is also good enough to meet my needs, although ideally it would be 300 lumens.

Note: There are other flashlights having the range of outputs that I desire, but none with the great beam and wonderful tint (4C).

I’m just starting to like neutral white light, I’ve only got 2…a Thrunite TN12 2016 and a EE X6 that I built with an XP-L HI V2 3D. I love lights that put out a ton of light but I also like the bare minimum low too. The TN12 is perfect for roaming the house at night with .4 lumens. I wish 120 or 300 lumens would be ideal for me because I like some of the smaller lights but I have to have power, lol.

I pulled 2 chips from a 4x7135 and its still to bright on low. It will be a 1 chip next time I find a reason to brake it down. Just a house light. I have several lights that are always on.
