Descent battery life with descent output on (1) AA?

The most lights I have (and want) give a big amount of light. The disadvantage is low runtime. Now I'm looking for a light that gives a good amount of light with a long runtime say about 24 hr. on 1 AA(or 14500). In the budget from under $20,-. It would be nice to have at least 2 modes. So you can have a bit more light when you need it. I do not know if I have look at the type of most efficient led or best driver. What would you guys suggest?

This has an efficient driver: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/2484

Crazy runtimes, yet powerful on 14500.

Cons, IT IS STILL OUT OF STOCK, GRRR!!! #¤%&#%!

It´s 30$, not 20 :(

Olight i2, only a bit over 20$ ?

Sorry, can´t get any other to my head now. There are tons of cheap AA-lights on for example DX but I cannot remember, how long they run on lowest modes.

You might have to spend a little more for good runtime, ITP SA1 is another good light but does not have the lowest low, for the price you get a good quality light that includes a holster.

There is an older (xpe-q5) ITP A2 Stainless on Amazon.com for just under your $20 limit. 7 hours run time on medium, 60 hrs on low. I wonder what it would do on low with a 14500... possibly more power than the AA low but longer runtime than the AA med...

agreed..love my sa1

Balder SE-1 has a really low, low about 1-2 lumens so that will last a very long time on a single aa, I'd say around 35-40 hours based on current draw. Only costs $20 shipped too. On high, it won't even last you an hour though. it does have a nice medium mode that will give you in the 2.5-3 hour range.

BalderSE1 XPG or XML?
