Xeno F42 V2 XM-L T5 neutral white for usd68 shipped worldwide

Xeno F42 T5 neutral white at usd68 shipped. I purchased this instead of the G42, think diff is just minor cosmetics and the stainless steel bits (SS is not cheap and they have to earn some for this kind of detailing)

In fact, the F42 is 24grams heavier than the G42. Remember it is T5, the U2 gets over 600 lumens OTF.

no clip.. different tail cap. , head is the same with G42. I prefer G42 tailcap.....

Btw, enjoy your new xeno... :)

I thought you want to remove the clip. :) I also don't like clips on my lights.

Anyway the G42 is $14 more.

i want to.. but i am unable to remove the head. btw, there is 3 years warranty for xeno...

For the first month, if any problem occured, they will replace with new units. after a month, there will be parts relacement only.

I See, better than Fenix/Sunwayman etc then.... They only do 1-1 for 14-days (return to dealer) and then 2 years repair.

At usd68 it is pretty decent value for budget price in premium level/specs. This thing is really heavy at 248g.

i don't even know what is the price range that can be considered as budget???

Beautiful light 2100. Love it.

I like the G42 can we get for a lower price?

The tail on F42 looks plain and budget version

Yeahh,.. G42 has better tail....

I feel ill :(

+1 can we have the g42 with a lower price?

The G42 V1 has the nice I call it grippoints for two fingers - does G42 V2 has them, too. I don't see them, on the pictures.

how about g42v2 for $75 if we get 10 buyers.

A review of Xeno G42 XM-L by selfbuilt

Actually i prefer not to have bling bits on my tactical lights esp on the tailcap end because i am basing the design on ruggedness, not bling. The front is somewhat ok if the SS is not overdone and it is not over shiny, but tail I prefer to leave it plain unless it is a bling light. I have stuff like UF-980L (bling bling end). It's not really "budget version" design - there are so many lights with that design....Solarforce, Jetbeam, Sunwayman etc...

And also i don't like clips, took them out from my Dereelights. The clip on the G42 is not removable I think (confirmed by Selfbuilt's review), so do take note of this point first. Big lights with a big polar moment (big head) and which are 300g with batteries do not need clips, how do you clip them and with the small area that they are clipped to prevent the light from swinging/flinging around anyway. Even with light Dereelight DBS it's not very good to use already....even on a belt.

On the topic of clips, anybody noticed that the clip is "facing the wrong direction" as compared to all the other lights? Of course this is probably personal preference. The head is facing up, not down, when clipped.

This is the heaviest weight light that i have seen in this class. Anybody seen heavier?

No one will have any Tactical use for these lights this forum. I see no point in your reference. For the Money I will always pick the G42 over the F42.

I believe my point is missed, allow me to explain more in detail.....for it to have a tactical look, i'd prefer it not to have SS bits. "For show realistically". I agree that even the F42 has a Aluminum bezel, but at least that's very very low profile at least from sideways. Not that i am going to have an actual tactical use for it. Another eg I have nearly all the tailcaps in the Solarforce lineup, but not the S9 (SS tailcap).

I agree that having SS shiny bits also can be considered for show, but that's not exactly what i want especially it is $14 additional. You can pick the G42, no issue. I probably will pick the G42 is it is $68 shipped, and definitely the G42 if it were to be $60 shipped. There are cars who have 1000bhp and have bling chrome wheels and detailed to the ninth degree or have a great ICE system. When last time i was still modding cars, i put semi-slicks (DOT-R for you guys in the USA) on the road to gun and my car looks "sleeper", i was silly enough to challenge cars having over 2X the power of mine in twisties. For High-end Hifi/DIY Audio hobby, it's the same. But for you guys - pls do not do this and race on public roads.....

I wouldn't say that nobody has no use for tactical use so fast...some just might have a tactical use for it, I mean there are quite a few gun lovers here... (in that lead emitter thread). But well, you are right, i am in the MINDEF (Ministry of Defence here) Reserve People's Defence Force now aka Hurray, after serving 12.5 years in the Army and Air Force. Sealed But the thing is that even airsoft is banned in this country of mine...so yeah...no tactical needs even for hobbies. LOL! For the first 2 years, yeah we use a heck lot of lights because our usual duties is for SAR and prowling...but i don't think the SS bits will matter a bit because it is peace time.

Anyway, good luck for those who want it for usd75 shipped...... Smile It's nearly $110 at Tactical HID.

PS. In the field, we usually black tape up the front to prevent 99% of the reflections and also keep the lumens down....so it's wierd huh.

I’ll take one for $75 shipped.
