Do you have the x3? Have you used it with AA’s? Just wondering about your experience.

I’ve also wondered if the light could be modded with an mtg2 and run off of three 14500’s…
I know it would t run long but I wonder how it would compare to using 2x 18350.
Anyway.

You get 2A due to voltage sag
If you want 3A you need 4AA

That’s the best non-custom holder I’ve found for the xinTD. And the comment about the 2A vs 3A is is spot on. I’ve tested it with 3xAA eneloops and I end up with something like 2.1A on high. A good 18650 nets about 3A. No other mods done yet, and I have some eneloop pro clones (Amazon black AAs) to try in there to see if they can run a little harder.

Thats what I needed!

Thanks

Has anyone used three 14500s in series to power an mtg2 or other high voltage emitter?

I’ve got three of those battery carriers. I planned to go with 14500, but have not yet found a host to accommodate them.
