Test/Review of UltraFire SZ18650 9900mAh (Yellow)

UltraFire SZ18650 9900mAh (Yellow)

Official specifications:

  • Capacity: 9900mAH

  • Voltage: 3.7V

  • Size: 65mm x 18mm

The latest battery scam from China.

I tried 3 cells, there were surprisingly well matches, but below\* rated capacity and not able to deliver much current.

They do stay cool.

Also at “high” current.

Conclusion

Any brand name cell is cheap compared to these, when looking at \$/mAh. For cheap cells look for brand name 2600mAh cells, never something above 3500mAh.

The rating is, of course, bad

Good to have the total lemons tested once in a while too. Thanks

I hope their factory blows up asap.

WOW! Better than expected. I expected 99mAh@1A.

Those China fakers never give up

About week ago guy laughed at me when I said that I use high quality 3000 mah HG2 18650 batteries these days… He said: Oh that is nothing! I have 9000 mah 18650 cell!

One simple fact is that this batteries should got import/export/manufacturing ban…

Wow 500mah is really super low capacity, I guess that are the cells which have a smaller cell inside them.

Looking at the weight I suspect it. I hope the weather will be nice in the near future, then I will open one of them.

 Is this the champion so far in out right lies?

Thanks once again for findings based on real test data. In this case, it’s buyer beware.

You will open it and find a 14500 inside :stuck_out_tongue:

Make a video of the 14500 inside and post on YouTube as a PSA

I have a blue Ultrafire 14500 that holds 750 mAhs.

Crazy. Thanks again HKJ. Just another example of why Ultrafire cells shouldn’t even be considered.

So laughable, and at the same time sad that it’s conning people, quite openly too! At least with your tests out there hkj it will save some from being victims!

Despite how bad those batteries are, I can’t deny that they did a good job on the packaging. That’s way better than some other famous chinese dealers does… Gearbest often just throw the cells into the shipping bag without any kind of protection. How ironic? :stuck_out_tongue:

oow… looking forward to you opening up the batteries!

Not that good, there was 10 cells in that box.

500mAh! That’s laughable, if it wasn’t so sad. :weary:

There are many 14500 and 16340 batteries that do better.

thanks to your job, HKJ, I avoided bad batteries. Thanks a lot
