I managed to cash in some old dx points for a couple of pairs of xtar keyring lights. It wasn't easy to explain.

Q:How many do you want?

A: As many I can with my points?

This went on for about 5 messages before I was told I could have two items. (4 in total)

One was DOA. lol and no I didn't bother to report it. Needed a new battery. I suspect it was turned on in the mail.

I think today should be “cancel your DX order day” and tomorrow should be “DX reorder day” using the 11% discount code  This would at least give everyone an 11% discount for their long wait!

In my case I’m not going to do it just because I’m tired of waiting but it is an idea!

I could be wrong but I', pretty sure it is only for selected items, not erverything in store.

I have an order pending for almost 2 months. Yell

I think that’s the area where DX could improve the most. Just give more accurate info on whether each items is likely to be available in the usual time frame.

Some items are now being shipped in 2 days which is faster than it used to be. However some items (apparently) aren’t in stock in their supplier’s warehouses and customers need to know that before they place an order.

I'm sick of trying to get in touch with DX or Manafont, I think they give you so much crap that you have to do, they think we'll forget about it or they keep asking for the same thing over and over after you sent it to them 10 times by then the warrant is over. That's how they play their tricks. I'm fed up of getting shit, when you read about it it sounds great and looks great. They make sure they send out a good batch and then screw the rest of us that have to work hard to afford their CRAP!!! I wish a local Dealer here in the states would stock some of the finer Trustfires and Ultrafires and Sky Rays, and FandyFre and do QUALITY control, I would pay $5-$10 more for that relief of knowing it's going to work when I get it and not have to spend days and months trying to tell these so call business owners that you sent me crap, just make it right and everyone would have alot more respect for you and your company. I use to fly R/C Airplanes and race the 1/10th scale stadium trucks and dealt with Tower Hobbies and many more and I never had this kind of customer service where they really don't care of losing you and your money. I've said this before while I was going back and forth with Jim and Ella at MF I kept on spending money with them over $500 and you would think I'm showing you that I trust you and I'm showing my good faith that I'm still spending my money with you because there is no reason I thought that a big company would go through all this BS over $34 and I even said just credit my MP $25 worth and when I order just put a prepaid stamp in my order and I will gladly send them back to you......I hope everyone understands why I'm not going to stop, I work hard for what I can get, it don't fall off my money tree.......and I wish we would all write to MF and DX and Stand up for each and everyone that they have screwed.

Thanks everyone,

Rick Stewart

It takes a while after the refund from DX for PayPal to get that to your credit card to the point where that shows up. I think the period can be up to 20 days. DX can be difficult to communicate with with you always either get your money or the product.

I think that is a standard response that is generated immediately when you submit a complaint to DX. It is meaningless. Do not close your dispute until the money is in your account.

I have bought several (4) I think orders from DealExtreme and I always got what I ordered. That said, sometimes it took a long time to get those things, so I would only suggest using them for hobby lights or stuff for yourself. If you have any sort of timeframe that you need to keep in mind, like if you needed it for an upcoming trip, or if you are buying something for a gift, I'd not rely on them.

You always get either money or goods but DX is known for their "fake" refund emails they send out whenever you open a paypal dispute.

I have gotten one such email, but in the end I got the goods so I dropped the dispute.

Which is one of the reasons why I find it odd that DD has an "avoid" label while DX does not. It is almost as if they are judged by different standards.

That is a deceitful act. When did this happen? Do they still practice this?

DX seems to be a little different lately. I don’t know if it’s better or worse but it seems different.

It used to take anywhere from a few days to a week or so to get any kind of response from CSE. Now when I asked about an ordered that was shipped (but hasn’t arrived) 30 days ago I got a response within an hour.

It isn’t exactly a canned response although it’s not particularly meaningful…“bla, bla, bla…You great understanding will be good appreciate. Thank you for your understanding and patience.”

Their time from order to shipping on some things seems to have improved as well. However the shipping time seems to be much longer. It used to be around two weeks for me and now it’s more like three or four.

I’m not sure anything much has really changed. Maybe they just tell you that your order has shipped when it’s really not going to ship for another week?

At least the CSE response time is better but I’d rather not even know what CSE means

Is your paypal funded with credit/debit card? You can always ask for a charge back.

To whom it may concern, *FYI*

Three orders with DX so far, two of them for multiple items. All good, all arrived within 3 weeks. So not the fastest, but WAY better than my experiences with DD. But that's a whole other saga.. Also like the fact that "DealExtreme" comes up as such in Paypal history, rather than some strange name I've never heard of. Also shows a list of the actual items bought, not just transaction codes. Makes it MUCH easier to check back.

Four orders with KD, two were fine, the other two I never received. Checked out items via Paypal, seemed as usual, eventually found out I wasn't actually billed. Nothing to tell me that fact at the time. Had to trawl through Paypal history. Bit of a mystery. Also having major probs with links to their website.

Bottom line: DX currently one of my first choices provided no urgency, but maybe I've been lucky..

First time ordering from DX. Paid 25 Nov and status is still processing (5 Dec). Filed an inquiry request and no response yet. Their live chat support is always unavailable.

I am giving them another shot. My first order from them, was a trustfire x8 flashlight, but it never shipped after about 2 weeks so i canceled it and got my money back. Since then, I have avoided them, because I cannot stand to wait, especially when the site says the item is in stock. So after that first failed attempt to buy something from them several months ago, I gave them another shot and ordered a pair of 14500 batteries. If they can't ship those out within 2 days, then I will not use Deal extreme ever again. I can order from ebay sellers and they always at least get it in the mail system quickly. I understand the transit time from China to the U.S., but at least get the item in the mail.

Been ordering from them for a few years, but only probably 10 or so orders. But i've never had a problem from them, 5 stars from me.

DX seems to have upgraded their system. Surf to my.dealextreme.com and you will see!

they include photos of the stuff before it's packaged, amazing!

i've ordered a clamp, and that's how my package content exactly looks like (and i can even confirm that the name and address on the invoice is mine, hehe):

Great job, DX!!! Extremely professional.
