Palight Star MTS question

I’ve got a Palight Star MTS that came with a 26650 battery and a 18650 adapter.

What I’ve noticed is that the 18650 adapter is no where near the right size but will work ok with a couple of rubber bands twisted around at each end and the light works fine, BUT, running the light on the supplied 26650 and the slightest of taps to the back of the light causes the light to switch off, I’m presuming the battery is losing contact with the front contact when tapping the light against my hand and the momentary loss of power causes the switch off.

Anyone else who has experience of this light, is this normal?

I tried this with mine and it does act like you describe except mine takes a pretty significant tap, it has never been a problem under normal use for me. Stretching out spring or adding another spring would probably stop this I would think.

Thanks, yes, I was thinking of adding another spring to make it a little stronger. The existing spring is quite thin and likely the reason it happens…
