Does anyone have an experience with buying from Beijing Yuji's High CRI led webstore?

After long discussion with Yuji manager I received next answers :
If I want buy modules with VTC led, now available only 3200K modules, only constant voltage, or any other - but you must request (and pay) 50 pcs [modules, not led’s] each type (2700,3200, 5000, 5600K, constant voltage or constant current).
Yuji really want sell it ?

The european pendant to Yuji would be Ledon:

Most lamps have CRI 90.

90CRI is something within the range of most led manufacturers, Yuji is somewhat special in that all their leds are 95CRI+. Osram has a 96CRI led range, but it is generally very uncommon.

I tried to find what leds are inside the Ledon bulbs, but they have managed to hide that from the internet very well…

You can find some pictures of the used chips here:

I would love to test a set of 95+ CRI bulbs, those have to look great!

thanks for the links, angerdan, i enjoyed reading some of it  . It seems like they produce their own leds/modules, but might source the led-dies elswhere (somewhere the USA is mentioned).

Ledon Lamp was sold from Zumtobel to the austrian entrepreneur Thomas LorĂźnser in 2013.
So the do have some know-how.

They did buy LEDs from Cree in the past, but not for all lamps.

The lamps has been produced in several countries:
Vermutlich handelt es sich um ein Gemeinschaftsprodukt der LEDON-Fertigungsstätten in China, Großbritannien und Österreich
Die Komponenten werden in Österreich und England mit LED-Modulen aus den USA vorgefertigt, in China zusammengebaut und dann als komplette Lampen wieder nach Europa geschickt

I have 95CRI 10 watt PAR20 Osram/Sylvania bulbs in my office and kitchen. They put out 550 lumens (more than 50W halogens). Three years ago they were $30 each. I did have one (out of 16) of the bulbs die. It was in the same socket where halogens tended to blow after a month or two (usually taking out the $35 Lutron dimmer in the process).

I’d buy an Osram CRI92 LED-Lamp back in 2010.
It has an slightly visible rosa tint, so i’d liked it in my bathroom. Since the claimed 810lm turned out to be 1100lm, this Parathom Pro A80 was an real state of the art lamp back then.

From my conversations with yuji they make phosphors. They’ve got contacts to make the LEDs and more so to make the modules.

The entry to get decent cost savings is around a few thousand which isn’t that much.

I do high cri hi colour temp… And so far they’re the only integrated single phosphor I see.

I would absolutely kill to have a remote phosphor 6500k violet pumped diode.

I can’t found any independent tests of Yuji LEDs, only 1 forum measurement.
And Yuji not sell CC (constant current) modules with all types of LEDs - only “if you ’ll buy 50 pcs modules of each color temp.”.

I’m going to defend Yuji here a little bit- they sell phosphors. The modules they offer aren’t the best- their modules are for demonstrations- but they ARE very nicely built, thick aluminum, robust wire-insert connectors. I suppose you could gang 2x or 3x into a strip light if you wanted to and minimize additional manufacturing time- I’m personally working on designing some bars.

They were responsive about adding a ‘sampler pack’ of various dies and color temps. I wish they’d include a 1900K unit but I’m good with the 2700k.

Just an opinion. I like their stuff… and I’m pretty picky.

what about bridgelux Vero decor series, they have a 2700 and 3000 K CCT with 97 CRI also 5600 K CCT with 90 CRI, i bought them from Digikey for lighting my Aquarium why buy unknown brand while you can buy a well know brand and much much much cheaper

i got the Vero 18 Decor with 5600 K CCT with 90 CRI it is about 70 Watts for 16$ only

I love bridgelux . they don’t have high color temp high cri diodes though.

Is there is in the world a 6500 K CCT LED Emitter with 90 CRI or higher, if yes give a link please

Uhhhh… Yuji makes one. I’d use 1:1 vtc and btc pumped diodes.

Cree advertised one in their spec but if it was manufactured I couldn’t find it not request samples.

I have 4 of their warm white high CRI 5mm LEDs. I would love to buy more, but would never use 100 of them. Are any others interested in splitting an order?

^
Yes, interested. Have you gone through check out far enough to see how much shipping to you would be?

Shipping to the US is around 16 bux. If there were enough interest in the WW and NW, or even just the WW I would love to see this come together.

Sampler pack of modules ?
You buy it ? What minimum quantity of each color temp ?
2 month ago I received answer ” minimum quantity =5 for constant voltage option “(with resistors) and ” minimum quantity =50 (!) for constant current option “.
