Uniquefire UF1408

As I see there was no thread about this light.
What do you think about it? Does anyone owns it and can make a review?

I have been talking to the MFG about possibly making a version just for BLF. Just in the beginning stages right now. It takes time to communicate things. If they are interested, I will pursue it for GB for BLF and anyone else wanting them.

Looking good
All the Uniquefire lights that I have (1401, 1505 and T20) are build pretty well.

Very interesting but can three emitter be run of one battery at full power?

would the head be big enough to dissipate the heat?

Can you specify emitter type? Fasttech and ali sellers post that there is XM-L2 but looks like there is XM-L on photos.

Not for sure yet. Mfg specs say XM-L2. Photo may be older version. I would want XP-L anyhow. Waiting for reply, so probably a few days and maybe a long time, till everything is worked out. Often times it takes a long time to get language problems worked out.

I have had very good luck with Uniquefire lights… I think I would be interested in it as well. But, that driver must go!!!

Looks pretty decent on the outside

Can't get anywhere with the Mfg. I have contacted them 3 times for further detailed info and whoever is responding, just puts in the same stock answer each time. I'm done with it.

$22.23. Please take note that CREE is left out in description.

….and the leds in the picture are not Cree leds…

It would be nice to get it in host form as long as the driver size is common.

Fast Tech has it.

This looks nice but its expensive

Reflector diameter: 34.3mm

Ledil Cute-3-SS Triple Optic Smooth Spot

Dimensions: Diameter 35mm

Hmm... I wonder what that pill looks like

You mentioned triple, I’m sure Dale will be here in a few…

I got mine today from AliExpress. Payed $23.98 incl. untracked shipping. It was intended to be used as a host for a mod from the beginning.

*The emitters are definitely xm-l (NOT xm-l2) , on a 32mm aluminum board, emitters seem genuine to me!
*Spacing of the emitters is identical to Noctigon 32mm triple board, triple emitter centering ring is included and fits on Noctigon.
*The (thick walled!) aluminum pill is just dropped in, not threaded. I am not sure I can trust the heat transfer to the body there!
*The aluminum triple reflector is screwed from the backside (like in my SRK clone). So the whole light engine is simply clamped between glass lens/bezel and body tube!
*Driver has strobe/hi/mid/low/sos/ mode sequence and HAS TO GO!
*It’s a 22mm driver board held in place by a retaining ring.

I’m planning on a mod including triple Nichia 219c on 32mm Noctigon and a BLF A6 driver…
All the necessary parts are already here (including high drain 26650, AR coated glass, 18AWG wires, Arctic silver, aso. But as there was not much information about this light available, some improvisation is still necessary!
So I am not sure how I can fit the 17mm driver to the 22mm cavity!
? Homemade spacer from a thin copper sheet?
? Remove all parts from original driver, drill a big hole in it, solder the small driver on?
? Any suggestions please?

Thanks and Cheers
Wolf

Maybe use something like this?

Thanks for the suggestion, actually I do have exactly this thing, but it doesn’t fit! 20mm is too small for the 22mm hole

Let me know if you find a driver suitable, as I am interested in buying this flashlight, now you mentioned that Noctigon XP32 fits in it…

But only if the rubbish driver can be changed…

There must be some sort of driver size converter around for 22mm…
