Armtek Wizard Pro xhp50 2300 lumens!

3A at the tail can’t produce 2300lumens… the new zebralights with XHP35 draw around 5A for1350 OTF lm. (different readings by several users)

I’m guessing it should draw at least 5A to even get glose to 2,000lm.

I was really waiting for the new gen ZL headlamps but after two failed units due to water ingress and their send-to-china warranty, I can’t trust ZL anymore.

Check out the ferrei headlamp pretty cool headlamp.

Does AA offer to replace defective Armytek lights even after the return period?
If not, do they offer to send them back for you?
Meanwhile, Armytek is not without their own QA and QC problems.
There’s also the issue of whether they send out pre-release units that are not as spec’ed to their dealers, and then tell customers to buy directly from Armytek to avoid pre-release units.

I guess their return policy has some kind of flexibility to it, as long as evidence of a defective light is provided… It’s one of the dealers which I have never heard anything negative from. This is the reason why folks over CPF now advise against ordering from armytek directly, unless you’re ready to deal with the “hassle-free” CS.

My point was it smells fishy. If it can produce that much light then great, and I will be surprised.

Hmmm, this is interesting. From A-A

LED light output: 2300lm
OTF light output: 0lm

Noticed that too, probably they are trying to tell us we will receive DOA lights

Any tests of this light seen!?

Bump in this thread to see what any members think of this light if they have it…

I’ve thought about buying this, but most places have had trouble keeping it in stock. I no longer have the extra funds to buy it though… so I’d be curious what people would say. I saw people complaining somewhere about armytek not specifying it needed high drain batteries- when it does. I don’t know how anyone in their right mind, who spends any amount of time on a flashlight forum, would not think a 2000+ lumen single emitter, single cell light would require high drain batteries.

I ordered mine from massdrop, still waiting for shipment. First I wanted to order from Andrew Amanda but I missed the preorder discount.

Will sure post a review and numbers when I get it.

Anyone with more Armytek experience than me know what tint range their warm white tends to be? I like a 5+, but am not to sure how to read the XHP50 for warm tints… Also, no CRI numbers, so this leads me to think they are just a warmer tint with no CRI improvement, which is fine by me for the glare reduction from CW…

I got it quick from http://www.hkequipment.net in 12 day to Germany; this thing IS bright for its size; pure flooder with the possibility of permanent turbo (2) not like the Acebeam H10! My pure white tint is really nice, I think it has 2000 lumen and above on startup!! I have a LG Q30 18650 lion in it and it works like a charm with it. Build quality is really nice! By far the most powerful headlamp you can buy these days!! :sunglasses:

Nice to hear, exactly what was I looking for.

I received my Wizard Pro v3 XHP50 few days ago. From Ontario, Canada, it took 48 hours.

I am very impressed, I had already for the last year the Wizard v2 XM-L2 which I love for camping in the bush. I do mostly my camping by private airplane with friends.

For more pics you can take a look at my Web site.

This is my first post here, I try my best to write in english because my mother's tongue is french.

G'Day CampingMaster,

Welcome to BLF.

Btw, you will soon realise that BLF is a much more friendly & productive community than the "other" forum where I have seen your recent posts.

Best Regards,

George

Hey hey ! Thank you !

-I’m really curious about how they can boost a single 4.2V cell to 12+V for this XHP-35?
I just modified one of LED4POWER’s LD-2 drivers to take 4 cells to the XHP-35, in an MaxTOCH Shooter 2X it’s pulling 2.89A and making 2346 lumens. It’s difficult enough to boost an 18650 to run a 6V emitter, but a 12+V? I’m running 4 LG HE-2 cells to this one.
Someone please enlighten me how such an emitter can be run off a single cell…-

My bad, sorry, I see now it’s an XHP-50. Even still, they’re not in any way going to get close to 2300 lumens boosting from a single cell, ain’t gonna happen, and even if it did it’d be way too hot to have on a persons head and the cell would be dead in minutes….

the XHP50 in the wizard is a 6V emitter

… or did you want to post in the U21 thread?

The U21 is supposed to be a XHP-35 from a single cell? Ugh

I just read something wrong and was assuming by the 2300 lumens that the ArmyTek was a 35, got confused I guess. Too many variations these days and I just built a 35 yesterday so it was fresh on my mind. Sorry about that.

Very well aware that the XHP-50 is 6V, I just put 3 of em in an X6 for 5300 lumens on a pair of 18350’s.
