Gearbest

The tracking system is a joke anyway

Had a lot of problems with Gearbest
But they resolved everything.
It might take some messages via rge ticket system in the end it worked out
You did open a ticket and waited 24 hours for them to react?

To be fair, around 60 days untracked shipping there is still a fair chance it will be delivered. It’s not an unheard of amount of time for unregistered.

I would pop a PayPal dispute in a few days and escalate in a week or two.

Edit: since it’s tracked, open the dispute now and escalate in about a week.

I have opened a case with PayPal and have had multiple conversations with gearbest. Still no resolution. 60 days is a ridiculous amount of time for a small shipment. They sent me a tracking number for one package yet claimed that they shipped half of my order in one shipment and another house in a second shipment. No tracking number for the second shipment.

Ah, sounds like there isn’t much else to do then. I hate when they split packages and use unregistered on one, despite having paid for tracking and a faster shipping method on the whole order.

BG has a little better system where it will state up front, while in the cart, when an order is split. It still kinda sucks, but at least the desired shipping method can be applied to both parts.

I got same experience with gearbest, about three weeks ago i ordered klarus g30 from gearbest and the next day i ordered thorfire s70 from banggood and both of them were shipped at the same time and my s70 arrive first in just 14 days and my g30 is not arrive yet until now

I recently had a 80 days delayed order, but a very pleasant outcome with Gearbest.
I have learned that in the far east it can be very insulting to directly critisise a person. Therefore I always write polite letters. The opposite will get me nowhere.
I told them I had waited 80 days and they answered me within 24 hours. (As standard) I should check my account address and my local post office (tracking number was in wrong format so no help here, but easy done). Then a new polite answer to Gearbest. Again within 24 hours Gearbest answered that I could choose between Resend or full refund to My Wallet PLUS some points (about $0.5 worth). As I had already reordered the goods, I choose the refund that came within two days along with the points.
This pleasant experience is how it should be. Thank you Gearbest (Suzy is my girl!).

I started out very politely asking where my shipment was. This is when I learned that they had shipped it in two separate packages some 15 days apart. Both items were listed in stock. I have since become very firm but not insulting in attempt to get my refund. I am thoroughly fed up now though. This Thread was meant to warn others gearbest Shady business practices

The BLF-348’s I ordered from GB last month arrived in 20 days (to Canada), untracked. Pretty good, as most stuff from China takes longer. That was my only purchase from GB, so far. It went well, but given all the complaints about them, I’d be hesitant to order something expensive.

I am having my first issue now! I have missing items in the mail but this is the first time! I did send lithium batteries so that might be the problem….

I placed two orders with GB on the same day. PayPal went through on both. They shipped one order out almost immediately, while the other one says ‘processing’. It’s been over a week. Strange.

That processing note on your order is very common with them. Likely it’s an item not in stock and they’re waiting for inventory. They won’t tell you that though

I see. Thanks.

I hadn’t ever ordered from Gearbest until lately, and I’ve made five or six since I started. Everything was shipped right away, and received within the usual three weeks time from China.
Some things I ordered were items others were complaining about that weren’t in stock when they oedered. I got everything I ordered from GB without a hitch. All items were as advertised.
I have noticed that European customers seem to have more problems than those in N. America.
I don’t bother with tracking anymore as it can’t be tracked past China. Chinese mail is subsidized by other countries mail systems such as Canada Post and USPS. Basically, Chinese venders pay a small amount to their postal systems and we end up delivering billions of Asian parcels for free, with no compensation. I don’t know about USPS, but Canada Post doesn’t bother scanning mail from China anymore. We’re not being paid anything
If everyone in the US sent a parcel to Canada, and every person in Canada sent a parcel to the US, it would mean USPS is collecting money for 350 million parcels while Canada Post would end up delivering them all. In reverse, Canada Post would only be collecting money for 35 million Parcels, which USPS would deliver. We keep track of these things , and one post office compensates the other for delivering their mail.
China Pays us nothing to deliver billions of pieces of mail for them. No compensation.

Split the orders!
Not only easier in case of problems but no risk in separate shipments and taxes.

That is exactly how I do it, order each item separately
I have had about 10 orders from GearBest & only had a problem with one where it must have got lost in transit.
You have to wait 60 days from the shipping date iirc before GB will accept that it is lost but then they will quickly offer either a full refund or re-ship the item.
I have had items from GB arrive at my home in the UK in 10 days from date of ordering.
Aliexpress on the other hand I have only used once & that item took 90 days to arrive & their tracking still shows it as being in China where as it is actually in a drawer in my lounge :frowning:

Haven’t had a delivery problem with GearBest in over a dozen orders I’ve placed with them.

Where’s the OP located?

I’ve placed 20 orders with Gearbest since August 2015:

* 15 fulfilled with no problems, average time from order to delivery = 23.4 calendar days. (Longest 40 calendar days, shortest 12 calendar days.)

* 1 missing order. Claim submitted = 56 calendar days. Refunded = 71 calendar days from order date.

* 1 multiple part order.

- Partial missing. Claim submitted = 79 calendar days. Refunded = 93 calendar days from order date.

- Partial delivery = 40 calendar days.

  • Remainder delivered = 105 calendar days from order date.

  • 1 partial delivery = 27 calendar days, awaiting receipt of remainder (so far 41 calendar days).

  • 2 recent orders, awaiting delivery (so far 17 calendar days).

While some of the delivery times have been long and the claim process has been tedious, Gearbest has done right on all my orders. They either delivered the product or they refunded me the purchase price.

Does anyone think that 60-70-80 even 90 days past order date for a refund is ridiculous??

I think waiting that long for delivery is ridiculous, but that’s why I’ve been forking over the extra $1 or so for upgraded shipping for the last few years. Getting several orders after some 70 days waiting is what prompted the change for me.

That change has solved most of my issues. Most orders now arrive in less than 2 weeks, unless I bump it up to DHL for ~3 day delivery. The extra shipping costs are usually less than a few percent of the total order cost, sometimes no cost to upgrade.

The fact that they split the order and used unregistered shipping on part of it without notification is the more ridiculous part imo.

However, not refunding until after XX amount of days seems reasonable to me. There’s still a fair chance for it to be delivered.
