Edit : Not recommended now.. 20% disc Trustfire Flames are good, measured 2266mAh & new batch 2498mAh

You'll notice the "main man" has started all of ...or nearly all of the threads in .

Budget Dealer Experiences...

If these batteries weren't such a good deal there would be 4 people here complaining not a 100.dino direct is right there taking care of business and getting problems taken care of immediately is OK in my book .

I originally campaigned for the Avoid status ...and now I've asked Mr. Admin to take it down a notch .

Dino Direct has my support and has my business As far as vendors go they are the best around right now.Good deals ,fast shipping and taking care of problems .Thanks Summer .

Lets see you guys fix a few descriptions..kill some fake reviews and delete the photos of BRTEDS back yard and you'll go from avoid to recommend .

Well, my previous batteries were both wrong, too bad.

They both were covered by a reasonable cash-back, so I regard this more like a mistake than a fraud.

Of course, getting wrong, unprotected batteries makes me a small hassle since I´m giving these away or ordering these to my friends, who don´t have paypal/CC.

But hey, going on low budget, some extra work or trouble usually occurs. I´m dealing with it.

ILIKEFLASHLIGHTS, I understand that you are unhappy with your first order going "not-so-well".

I'd like to share my own experiences with DD: After 20 orders in last 4 months, anything from batteries to wireless IPCam. I'm still a happy camper.

Yes, I did receive 7 pairs of unprotected TF Flames, but Otta / Summer handled the situation really well. Now I have protected ones coming as replacements for all 7 pairs.

Pros:
- Lately the have had really good offers
- Group buys of good quality items
- Relatively fast delivery
- CS has been really helpful (in the unproteced batteries case)
- We have Summer here at BLF to help us
- No problems with payment / web page functionality

Cons:
- You must be careful not to pay extra for registered shipping etc. (quite "normal" - buyer beware)
- Hugely inflated prices (you need to know what you are buying and what the correct price level is)
- Inaccurate product descriptions (see above)
- Fake reviews (I don't trust them anyways - you can find real unbiased reviews from forums like this)

So, my conclusion is that DD is a good place to shop if you are a seasoned shopper and know what you want.

At least I will buy from them also in the future.

Yeah, that's a good point _the_, seriously with all the reviews giving you so much more information + measurements both here and CPF, it makes reviews on DX/DD/MF look like a kindergarten book. :D

DinoDirect is good I my book. Thank you Summer for all you’re help and the great discounts.
ILF we’ve heard you rant in this thread and in other threads. I understand where your coming from. I also got the wrong batteries, I gave DD a chance to get it right and they did. Everyone makes mistakes, now its up to DD to learn from all of this. I hope you don’t get this fired up when you receive a wrong order at the McDonalds drive thru;-)

Mcdonalds screwed me way many times with my orders than any stores i've been to, online or bricks and mortars. :)

DD service is 10 times better, try to complain at mcdonalds (wow, all american company). They wanted me to pay for the barbeque sauce, wth.

Sorry i have to vent.

Lol

Ok maybe I'm overreacting here. They did give me a full refund. Well I should say they gave me 14 cents shy of a full refund since my order was $20.30 and they only credited back to my card $20.16. But what's 14 cents. Maybe I will decide later on to try and give them one more chance. Time will tell.

But I will stand by my first impression that I got from this company was not a good one.

Sorry for the inconvenience again, and the 14 cents may be due to the processing fee, thanks for your support and give us a chance to make improvement, if you want to order any product from our website, please contact me, and we will give you a gift card.

Hi again!

Received today a packet from DD.

Ordered 2 sets of 2 x Trustfire Flame PROTECTED 18650.

Got: 1 set of UN-protected TF-Flames, in blister pack with QA-sticker and hologram

1 set of Protected BUT Fake Trustfire flames, in blister pack, wothout hologram and in plastic bag with DD-Logos AND QA-sticker :)

With these I got two working UF-flashlights, will measure later, batts and torches. Batteries might be good, who knows. Will dispute only for wrong ones + faulty charger.

However, got also 2 pcs of cheap 2-bay 18650 chargers.

One was "intact" but other had a part loose inside.

Lucky me I did not plug it in to socket.

I will post pictures later.

For now, this pretty much tells everything:

love the picture Tongue Out

Got through their Live Chat, but all the sudden the person on the other side stopped answering. Now just contacted Summer, he is the guy\lady? who usually helps everybody out here!

She is a girl, Ellen is her name

Do you mean you got genuine protected cells i.e. what you had originally ordered? That's what I would call getting it right. I did the same, looking forward for what will be delivered...

Some pics of recent stuff:

The set without Ultrafires. Notice, that the quality is assured!

Hmmmm, something makes a rattle, could it be this plate? Where would YOU fix it into?

Lucky I did not plug it... Screw on left/bottom was nailed through the back, cannot be opened, fixed in permanently with "goo".

Batteries. Notice difference in lenght. Fonts are also veeery different. Very bad try to make look-a-likes.

Protected though, something right.

These two protected ones clocked

1861

1895

At 1A discharge from 4,17V down to 2,7V.

They offered me a $7 giftcard... wonder why not $9 like some others got here....anyway, I asked them to send me the right ones instead.

Why can be that? it should be considerably higher. May be they are sending old stock batteries?

Just fakes.

Correct. Protected but very obvious fakes (won´t complain about them, they still are protected as ordered).

The regulars, UN-protected clocked 2320-something and the other one 2200+ something mAh.

benckie just turned me on to this thread (obviously missed it, somehow). Have 2 prs. of said batteries arriving from DD.

If fake/unprotected, will contact Summer for resolution. If protected, will make that known as well!
