Well, my previous batteries were both wrong, too bad.
They both were covered by a reasonable cash-back, so I regard this more like a mistake than a fraud.
Of course, getting wrong, unprotected batteries makes me a small hassle since I´m giving these away or ordering these to my friends, who don´t have paypal/CC.
But hey, going on low budget, some extra work or trouble usually occurs. I´m dealing with it.
ILIKEFLASHLIGHTS, I understand that you are unhappy with your first order going "not-so-well".
I'd like to share my own experiences with DD: After 20 orders in last 4 months, anything from batteries to wireless IPCam. I'm still a happy camper.
Yes, I did receive 7 pairs of unprotected TF Flames, but Otta / Summer handled the situation really well. Now I have protected ones coming as replacements for all 7 pairs.
Pros:
- Lately the have had really good offers
- Group buys of good quality items
- Relatively fast delivery
- CS has been really helpful (in the unproteced batteries case)
- We have Summer here at BLF to help us
- No problems with payment / web page functionality
Cons:
- You must be careful not to pay extra for registered shipping etc. (quite "normal" - buyer beware)
- Hugely inflated prices (you need to know what you are buying and what the correct price level is)
- Inaccurate product descriptions (see above)
- Fake reviews (I don't trust them anyways - you can find real unbiased reviews from forums like this)
So, my conclusion is that DD is a good place to shop if you are a seasoned shopper and know what you want.
Yeah, that's a good point _the_, seriously with all the reviews giving you so much more information + measurements both here and CPF, it makes reviews on DX/DD/MF look like a kindergarten book. :D
DinoDirect is good I my book. Thank you Summer for all you’re help and the great discounts.
ILF we’ve heard you rant in this thread and in other threads. I understand where your coming from. I also got the wrong batteries, I gave DD a chance to get it right and they did. Everyone makes mistakes, now its up to DD to learn from all of this. I hope you don’t get this fired up when you receive a wrong order at the McDonalds drive thru;-)
Ok maybe I'm overreacting here. They did give me a full refund. Well I should say they gave me 14 cents shy of a full refund since my order was $20.30 and they only credited back to my card $20.16. But what's 14 cents. Maybe I will decide later on to try and give them one more chance. Time will tell.
But I will stand by my first impression that I got from this company was not a good one.
Sorry for the inconvenience again, and the 14 cents may be due to the processing fee, thanks for your support and give us a chance to make improvement, if you want to order any product from our website, please contact me, and we will give you a gift card.
Ordered 2 sets of 2 x Trustfire Flame PROTECTED 18650.
Got: 1 set of UN-protected TF-Flames, in blister pack with QA-sticker and hologram
1 set of Protected BUT Fake Trustfire flames, in blister pack, wothout hologram and in plastic bag with DD-Logos AND QA-sticker :)
With these I got two working UF-flashlights, will measure later, batts and torches. Batteries might be good, who knows. Will dispute only for wrong ones + faulty charger.
However, got also 2 pcs of cheap 2-bay 18650 chargers.
One was "intact" but other had a part loose inside.
Got through their Live Chat, but all the sudden the person on the other side stopped answering. Now just contacted Summer, he is the guy\lady? who usually helps everybody out here!
Do you mean you got genuine protected cells i.e. what you had originally ordered? That's what I would call getting it right. I did the same, looking forward for what will be delivered...
Got a pair yesterday, protected, but look like fakes. Real is on the left, the new one I got is on the right.
Cycled them once and then ran a discharge test. Performance at 2A is terrible vs. the real thing (which are over a year old) or the Tenergy 2600's from the recent eBay deal.
Time to try Dino Direct CS. The UF-2100 I received in this order was also non-functional.
