I went to 3 different WalMarts today looking for the multifunction jumper starter FlashPilot found in this thread YMMV - Walmart has the Everstart Multi-Function Jump Starter & Battery Charger for $9. Regular price $39.84
Boy, was I out of my element in WalMart! Bottom line was I couldn’t find any. More than anything I was curious as to how it was built, and $9 is cheap.
Even though I didn’t find the one I was looking for, I saw this. A Stanley branded version of the Black & Decker battery booster that HD cleared out at $20.
Anyway, after the third WalMart, less than a mile away was a Home Depot. So I stopped in. Here is what I found,
5 more of the ArmourMax 3D’s This package contains 3 Alkaline D cells also. The sticker says $14.06, but they rang up for $7.83
Then there was this. A display with 20 of the Maglite Pro AA and AAA combos. I know the price says $19.06, but guess what? They rang up for $6.33.
Don’t give up on these items, they are still out there.
So I grabbed one of the dual pack Maglite LED combos… $6.33 at my local store (local to my workplace). My local-to-home store had none… they usually have bumpkis for clearance if it’s not Jan-Feb. (They told me Feb is their best month for clearance).
I’m wondering if I should grab one or two more… I dont need them for myself… but they may make great gifts! Or should I want one combo kit for myself? Not sure if they are anything special, or just good LED lights. I doubt they’ll last long enough to go to a penny though.
The one item I was watching (created and printed the barcode for) finally went to a penny… but of course, a few days had gone by and it was pulled from stock. Bummer.
Good deal… I’ll swing out there tomorrow. They had a floor display with about 30 of them in the way way back of the store. Last time I was there I got a couple containers of the Tide laundry pods on clearance as well… regularly $18, got the 96ct pack for $11 ish. Wife was super happy.
It is shocking the difference in clearance-able merchandise between two stores in adjacent towns.
I found this sticker there but none of the product nearby.
This is for the 2 packs of Philips ’Basic Bulb’s.
Originally they were $4.97.
Then I saw them for $3.
Now they are $2.50!!
So they are about half price from the original price.
$1.25 each!
Although I didn’t find the product there next to the sticker, maybe we can find them elsewhere, and if we do, they’d be $2.50!
So I was at a home depot that I haven’t been to recently. I saw the 2D Led maglites in clearance marked at 19.06. Now, having read all of dchomak’s postings, I knew these had come down to 7.53 a WHILE BACK! I had even found and bought a few at that price. So being curious, I took one of them for price check… and lo and behold —- .01!!! I got all 7 remaining for $0.08 including tax! My first penny deal, and what a deal! Thanks to dchomak and everybody else in this thread.
so there actually was a xenon 2D also - but the price check said not found… i just left it there as i didn’t care after the 7 LEDs… was there some way i could have scored those as well?
I have been watching these for some time now. Internet lights, they were $50 for the controller and 2 bulbs. There were problems with the software when they first came out and HD briefly reduced the price to 24.97. When I realized it was a software only problem, I got some and they work well. Software glitches have been solved. Now over the last few months HD has been reducing the price by $5 at a time until now they are back down to $25. I am hoping they will go lower….
Extra individual bulbs are also being reduced, to day I grabbed a B38 spotlight as it is now at the “3” price
I didn’t know HD sold smartphones, here is one for 13.03. Could be used as an internet device, has WiFI, bluetooth etc.
Another thing I will be watching is an Energizer 4 Bay NiMh charger with 2 AA cells. I forgot to get a picture. The cells are only 1500mAh, but right now it is on clearance with a “6” price of $6.06. The “3” could be $2.03. If it is……………
