and they have optics to fit the spacing on those triples.
I’d guess the Sinkpad and Sinkpad 2 emitter positions are the same, but I don’t know for sure.
I know there are other spacings out there — the “Endor Star” triple Rebel from LEDSupply is different (LEDSupply sells the usual variety of optics to fit that, of course.
And there’s the whatever-the-heck in the DQG Tiny 26650 — different spacing yet again, and no idea who makes the different optic to fit that much bigger diameter.
The optic’s that fit the sP2 mounted triple rebels are the exact same carlco 105xx series as used with the XP Noctigon’s! Easy to get in about any beam you want and about about $2.25 a piece (tighter is always better for color/tint mixing, l’ll probably try the 10507 scuffed up or the 10511). The rebel emitters are positioned correctly so their domes are in the same position as cree xp domes in a Noctigon.

I may have a go at it some time then. A brute way to drive it is with individual ramping of the three (or four) channels, with memory. Without going through your many great driver posts again (my memory is like a sieve), wasn't that something you already had build by any chance??

I think that your way with two different white emitters is easier and works just as well. The three-led set-up that Philips suggests is probably a bit more efficient because less phosfor conversion is taking place and in the 'real world' that is pretty important, for a flashlight that is hardly interesting.
The link goes to the deep red XP-E, not to the an amber led. And still, however attractive, up to date and of latest bins your selection of leds is, 33 dollar shipping kills any small order attempt from outside Australia

I have not seen anything other than 20mm and a 10x10mm square board for the Rebel. A 16mm base can probably be made by filing/sanding down a 20mm one.
Actually I have quite a stash of 20mm Rebel Sinkpads and I'm not at all going to use them all. If you are interested I can sell you some for what I paid for them (if I remember well 0.70 cents/piece) plus shipping (2.20 dollar to the US).

I have three from rapid led on aluminium stars but only two are in lights. One is mounted in a 502b @ 1400ma and the other is in a JacobA60 at either 1750 or 2100ma. They have held up fine but can’t see lumen benefit from a ceiling bounce test. Both of mine are single mode lights with 7135 based drivers.
So how many color emitters — in serial, and how many in parallel — would work and be enough to avoid blowing them up, feeding power through with a single li-ion and FET?
I probably need to just start blowing a few up to get this into my dense head, but any forewarnings would help.
I guess it depends on the cell you use. For three emitters to n parallel, you’d wan 4,5-5A max, so would need a real crappy 18650 with a protection circuit. I’m not sure what an 18350 would put out on DD, it could be the answer. Make my light an S2+ shorty.
Lifepo4 might be your answer. I used one to DD a PT54 red at about 8A. Don’t know about now but Tenergy did offer 3 different capicity/output cells. Typically high capacity Lifepo4 cells offer lower amperage output. Find some spec info. HTH
I posted my build for a Rebel deep red triple in the mod thread, but figured I should add the beam shots to rollinstone’s thread on coloured rebel emitters for thread integrity. It’s running at 4.5A.
The deep red rebels are a bright cherry red as compared to the orange red of the XP-E2. These are nice emitters and pack a lot of light. I don’t know why everyone is a afraid to try a non Cree LED.

I have filed a few 16 mm. stars to 12 mm. I have to scrape the top layer off the traces to expose copper to solder the wires to.
I think I have bought them on 16 mm. stars, but I can’t find where. Perhaps that was not in the description.

Somewhere out there in the world is a 4xD M@g modded with four Cyan emitters, that I had years ago, til someone stole my car (sigh).
It was wonderful.
Nowadays I can probably get the same amount of light out of a single celled host …. time to try it again.

Hmmmm. After pretty much only using DD FET drivers for a while, it will seem weird going back to a 7135 driver. Like having an Amish flashlight.
