You can use cash at the self checkouts. I always use bills, even when buying 1 item at a penny. Others here will reach into their front pocket and pull out a penny

Here’s the cheapest I found on Ebay at $22 shipped… HD ftw for half-price. As far as “smart-phone” tech level goes, it’s practically a dinosaur, but a deal for somebody.

Any Android phone will work great without being hooked up to a carrier network. You can register and access the PlayStore and use all the features that don’t need a mobile network. Lots of Apps out there like FB Messenger and GoogleVoice that make “calling” easy over wifi for free. FWIW, Iphones are the same way… no network needed to just use it as a computer.

I visited one of the HDs in my area yesterday and came to the conclusion that the stores in the Cleveland area have their own pricing policy. The Defiant 3d like the one I purchased at the 04 price have joined the maglites in the flashlight racks at a .97 price. It seems that in my area items are returned to the shelves and tagged as ‘NEW’ and not reduced to x3 prices. Discounts are rare and I only saw a few .04 items. The only x3 prices I saw were sprinkler heads at $0.93. The 2x aaa mini maglites are still $14.99 and the 2x aa mini maglite pro are $24.98. They went from an 04 price back in march to full price in april.

Those 2 Maglites you mention were never on clearance.
The clearance was for a special combo that contained BOTH lights.
As it happens I Am in the Cleveland area right now. Just today I came across a store with about 20 of the Energizer flip work lights. The ones that were originally 32.97. They were tagged at $23.06 but rang up for $7.53. A friend with me bought 8

I’d swear I saw a comment here about the single lights at reduced prices too. Post deleted but I still say the stores in this area don’t follow the same pricing policy.

You are right for certain extent. I am still traveling but I have seen some strange “6” prices during this trip. Prices that don’t follow the rules.

Going to head out on lunch and try to grab 2 more of the Maglite combo packs for $6.33. If they are still there. I’ll look for the 2D LED Maglites as well, a penny would be a steal for sure! But I’d be happy with paying a few bucks per as well.

We’ll see what they have.

i actually grabbed a few more of the 2D Leds at a penny each yesterday at a few different locations. look behind and in the current 2C and 3D stacks. you might often find 1 or 2 there.

OK, thanks! Is it specifically and only the 2D mags that are on clearance? 160-some Lumen models?

The 2d led 168 lumen and 2d xenon are at penny. The armourmax 3D 590 lumen is at 7.53. There are a few energizer work lamp singles and combos anywhere from 4 to 7. You can scour previous posts for the exact models and pics.

Yesterday i was going to get another korky at a home depot (i saw it there several times but didnt know it was $2.33 until i found one in another store with the price tag)… i put it somewhere for a moment and came back and it was gone!!! Someone stole my korky!!! :rage:

No luck at the HD near work. The Maglite combo packs were all gone, none in stock, none in the entire geographical area according to their internal inventory checker.

I also found no 2D Maglites either.

Now I guess I just wait for the Leatherman Wingman to drop off of $20.06 down to a “3” price… likely somewhere around $14.x3. I’d buy it at that price. That’s about half off original retail; would be better if it went to 75% off retail, that’ll be $7.50 (7.53?). I’d prefer another Sidekick, but the Wingman is close enough.

I’m kicking myself in the nuts for not picking up one of the Skeletool’s in February… I just didnt know about Home Depot clearance at that time. DANG IT!

Other, just tons of LED bulbs and door knobs on clearance. meh….
