WOWSA!

110!! wowers is right! ...i am slightly jealous hehehe. About 100 more than me :)

Hold on to your wallet!

Or you will end up in the same state as me.

Broke!

That said, two of them cost more than $100 - pretty much all of the rest cost under $20.

Sad bit is my car needs $1000 worth of work on it. Before the engine destroys itself completely. I don't usually spend $1000 on a complete car, let alone on fixing them. This one is probably worth it, but in another 30,000 miles it will need fixing again. Just as well I only drive about 4,000 miles a year.

All but two (of a couple of dozen) of the cars I have owned cost less than my camera. Most of them cost less than my most expensive light. The last car that cost more than this computer was in 1994.

The corollary of this is that I am very, very good at resuscitating dead cars and motorcycles at the side of the road.

lol! ah thats quite the situation. well i have a problem with spending too much on my cars. needless to say this new flashlight addiction is a much cheaper habit :)

These days I only replace cars when they break terminally. Hopefully this isn't all that often. One of the people I work with just spent more than I have spent on all of the cars I have ever bought on a new car. The car she replaced was younger than anything I've driven since 1999!

I can NOT be accused of spending too much on cars. Just ask my mother - every time mine breaks I borrow hers - she does an even lower mileage than I do. When her 12 year old car broke terminally it had done less than 20,000 miles.

ah well cars is really where i spend my money

I own a 07 civic (bought new) and a 90 Prelude 4ws (bought used and rebuilt)

spend way too much on those. then my girl just bought a 2011 Mustang V6 (worth every penny!) and she already had a 98 Camry (were keeping and modding)

I do that sort of stuff with motorcycles - or bikes which is what we call them here.

My motto is "Designed in a pub, built in a shed". But when you have to work in a tuxedo ("suit" where I live) the bikes are only minimally practical.

My godson (Aaththiaan) on my last two wheeler.

I've just found a pic of the last bike Rob and I built. Mad doesn't even come close - the riding position only worked at about 50mph above this thing's top speed.

That is a 1967 Yamaha TZ250 race machine chassis with huge lumps cut out of it to make a DR400 motor fit. The first thing to touch down was your shoulders. I've worn holes in the elbows of a jacket (and my flesh) while cornering this beast. Pity the gearing was all messed up. The top speed was silly low but I've never driven anything that was more fun. Till you tried to drive it more than 50 miles.

yea ive been looking at an older CBR900 as a good commuter bike. my civic will be turbo'd soon, and while thanks to i-vtec, will still get good mpg, i felt a bike would be a better summer choice (the prelude will be for the winter, tho i havent played with the 4ws in the winter yet........ *shudders*)

anyways, back to topic

lets see some not so budget flashlights that are still wicked cool!

tho that $29 flashlight might become mine soon....

Why bother?

CBR900 - "an ugly, heavy, dangerous way of going extremely fast." The CB900 was worse. Several people I knew died piloting those things.

Look up the Used Motorcycle Guide. Not sure if it still online. I have run a Kawasaki 750 2 stroke triple. 3mpg on a good day. And it cost more in spark plugs than gasoline (petrol where i come from).

Used to run a CBR1000 with forks from a Montesa motocrosser. That thing was about as high as a bus.

:D true enough. I can prolly buy the world's largest ever light collection several times over if sell my car. A track day costs 500-1000 at least around here, so about a light per lap, if you don't crash....

I thought about getting a motorcycle when I lived around napa valley which had about the best driving roads and weather anywhere (better than monaco), but alas it was not to be; and probably for the better at the end of the day since I have a bad habit of pushing to the limit and occasionally over.

well i liked the way it rode when my friend had one.

i like the CBRs and that new BMW is tempting too....

not a fan of 2 strokes. personal preference!

i do have a problem with the pushing the limit thing too. but thats why my first mods are suspension, tires and brakes!

I have a 2009 Subaru wrx. Tons of fun! Especially with our canadian winters! But the gf and going back to college are more priority for me now so flashlights are a less expensive hobby for now:)

I can see where this therad is going. Next, there will be beamshots from bikes and cars. :D

Just kidding, im a motorcycle enhusiast myself and will gladly spend more on lights than on cars. Not really interested in cars. Would love a comfortable and reliable car the most. The rest is really not needed with mileage i do even the AC is often turned off (and where i live the summers are quite hot but the humidity is very high (70+%) you can barely breathe at times). Egypt was very relaxing at 40+ degrees (10% humidity?) celsius compared to 30-33 with 70+% humidity.

Where are you from? Heck, where is everyone here from? I am curious now

USA here. lovely land of the corrupt.

Slovenia (between Austria and Italy) land of the ever(over)jelous people. The national saying is: May the neighbor cow die... Basicly since the fall of comunism people started to get way into materialism and find great happiness in other's disgrace. I believe we got this state of mind from Italy but powered it to new unseen levels. This is true for roughly 60% of the population. 2 million total. Yes, you read that correctly it is really that few with a unique language hard to learn properly. On the bright side we have some exquisite locations and a wonderfull climate. I live less than a km away of the adriatic sea and i'm very happy i live there. The sea is truly an eye and mind blessing to have around.

The bit of the UK on top of the rest. Has its good bits and it bad bits like everywhere else.

Sweden, northern end. Gets real cold and dark in the winter.

Hawaii Cool

Slippers, shorts and tanktops all year round.

Same here - it is just that we can only wear them indoors :)

The land of the free and home of the brave (ie. foolhardy). Also, west side represent.

I thought the Germans invented Schadenfreude.
