Astrolux S41 - presale ended

quick share from phone while drivingā€¦

ooh to be aahā€¦

Subscribed ā€¦ as always sigh

Subscribed.
Niceā€¦ What optics are these ?

PCB and optics OD?
Seems that both are non-compatible with anything except each other.

guys - i do not have those in my hands :frowning:

be patient

Sweeeeet edc, I would like all parts without ano, this will make a great patina with copper head.

The emitter board looks like it says BLF on it. Was it designed by someone here?

iā€™m in !

I m in for at least one Nichia.

I m in for one xp-g .

They will have used one of the standard optics, they removed two of the legs to make room for the screws. [modderā€™s perpective] I bet if you solder the board and leave the screws out you can use the 4-legged Carclo [/modderā€™s perspective]

Thisā€™ll be popular with the Nichia fans!

This is non standart optics. Had anybody seen it before?
Difference between optics OD and diameter of round where leds centers are laying is other (carclo optics is not cutted by each tir in center), if this optics have same 24mm OD this means that leds are laying closer to each other.

I think a 18500 option would be great

+1!

Thatā€™s like asking us to go back to incanā€™s- AINā€™T gonna happen! :smiling_imp:

If the optic is good this will be another ā€˜must haveā€™ light, and if they offer both tubes like with the S1 theyā€™re going to sell like hotcakes. Even with just the short tube I like it already.

Phil

If the led-spacing and optic are unique in this light there will be a demand for replacement optics because that is the most vulnerable part of this light.

18500 cell may fit in same length if solid (no switch inside) tail will be available.

Yes, twisty.
If tailcup and tubes are same with A6, they already have contact ring and modes can be changed without switch. I suppose that several changes in tail producing could be cheaper than rare 18500 tubes.
Also Iā€™m not sure in good long work of small swithes at big currents, twisty tailcup may be best solution for those who like big Amps.
