A Contrast In Design Image HEAVY!

Sick Of It! That’s what I said when I decided to start some new looks for our Texas Lumens lights. Toward the end of last year, I just grew tired of the same look. We were behind in orders so I just had to work on some new looks as I could. I thought we might show a couple of contrasting designs. These are P60 lights… C8 and some new 26650 lights are in the works. Forgive the tool marks a little… these aren’t polished as yet to go to the finisher. Enjoy!

I said different!

A copper edition is in the works!

Certainly the parts will interchange…

Find the seam in the smoothie tailcap… If you look at the next image… you can see it.

Thanks for looking and indulging me!! More to Come!

Wauw those look both different and spectacular!
Very impressive, thanks for sharing.

Wow that looks nice. How the h*ll do you machine something like that. I for one don’t mind those tool marks, I like the look especially in copper.

First Impression: “What were they thinking? :confounded: ”

But, while scrolling down through the pics, it grew on me. It’s so unique that I had to get over the initial shock of how different it really is. But the machining work looks so good. And the design really is nice. Now I want one!

So… How much are they selling for? :money_mouth_face:

Very Nice Dan!! Now, just knurl that there smooth section in the center and I will be glad to "TEST" one fer ya'.

Dan, for those that don't know, is a great machinist and an artist with CNC, lathes, mills, etc.

Nice to see some fresh designs. Tuned in to this one!

At some point, for many of us, “function” is touched by “skill” to become “art.”

That’s what I see here!

And if I may add an all round top bloke.

Dan those look amazing and very unique though I’m a bit worried you are going nuts with these.

I was pondering sending you are pm yesterday as you have been AWOL for awhile but now I know why.

All the best and looking forward to more pictures and perhaps even a video?

Thanks OL… Artist! Whew! I may have a hard time getting my head back to normal size now! I can glue some thumb tacks around that smooth part… will that work??

Thanks Again. Dan.

Thanks Steve,
You guys are too kind. I appreciate all the comments. Well… a video of me just sitting there with a file??? :innocent: ! I’ll get a video of one on the machine for ya. I have been pretty much covered up so I didn’t slow the process doing a video… but I’ll get you something to watch!! Thanks Again. Dan.

Odd… when I finished the machining on that light, my reaction was about the same as yours… WHAT! Then it began to make sense. As well… if you look at it from different angles… it never looks the same. Thanks for the comment.

I can’t price these just yet. The first one is always the pits! I’ll nail down the time spent, get a cost and might do a sales thread if there is some interest. They should be a knock out in Copper. Since I build them, we won’t need to have any set number for a buy…and of course, a BLF discount!!! I have a lot of thoughts in my head right now about “How” to make these available. I have C8 and 26650 designs in the works as well… not this radical. Keep watch…. and MANY THANKS! for the comments. Dan.

ORSM. Bring em on. Dans the man.

Incredible work!

4 axis mill + lathe?….or a secret 5 axis machine sitting somewhere?

No matter what - Incredible!

I’d be in for a couple of these. Copper would be sweet

Those are so cool! I love P60’s, but likely I will not afford one of those. :frowning:

Love the unique pattern design.

Starting a copper one soon. I’ll do a little sales thread in the days to come.

Many Thanks! Dan.
