scrumpypaul: atbglenn:Sorry I’ve been inactive here for a while. I came back after reading Old Lumens was not doing all that great and needs surgery. Anyway, I bought a new watch pictured here. It’s a 44 mm winder with a Seagull 17 Jewel movement made by Parnis.
That is just gorgeous!! I’m not bothered about the fancy see through back but the face is just pure elegance.
Does it have lume? If so can you do a lume shot?
Thanks! I love this watch. It does have lume, but it’s not the best I’ve seen. I’ll try taking a picture tonight. I’ll use my Fenix TK75 to cheat a bit. lol!
What did it cost you mate? Do you have a link?

Sure. It was $99.00 sold by Amazon under the name of Fanmis (same company as Parinis) In my opinion, it’s a great watch at 3 times the price

Very nice. Don’t forget the lume shots.
You’ve inspired me to dust off a cheap little auto which I’m going to wear to work tomorrow, my Alienwork Marina in black with black leather strap.
I promise I won’t forget.
Streamer:Ouch! lol!
Yeh, LOL…good to see ya back.

Very nice! I’m glad there are still analog watch lovers out there. Keep em’ coming!

Thank you my friend! Glad you have a sense of humor!
cabfrank:Great choice. Monsters are iconic, bulletproof watches. Wear it in good health, as they say.
Thanks! BTW, it came today. The one I got was made in Japan, AWESOME!! I had to remove 2 links from the band which was harder than any of my other watches with stainless steel bands. It’s a pin and collar setup which is a bit of a pain in the ass. I had to use an magnifying glass to get the job done, but it came out perfect.
UPDATE: It’s exactly 24 hours since I set the time to http://time.gov/HTML5/ Atomic Clock. Happy to say it only lost 3 seconds which is excellent for an automatic watch. Compare that with plus and minus 15 to 30 seconds I get with my other Seiko’s.
Can you post some night time glow pics of that beast. I really like the day time look. You got me very interested in that watch. It has a sporty, yet classy look. Would you consider it heavy? I too would have to take out some links. I have some girly wrists. If I get one, I may seek you out for tips. lol

I will when I get it back from repair. About a month ago it stopped working. Luckily it’s still under the Amazon 2 year warrantee. Unfortunately, they had to order parts. Who knows how long that will take. It’s been a month already. I’m not happy about that right now
BTW, it is on the heavy side. That said, I do like the heft. I’m going to call them tomorrow to see what’s going on. Thanks for reminding me.
EDIT: I think you brought me good luck! I got the Monster back today! They fixed it without scratching the screw on back, or any other part of the watch! I was worried about that because I’m a picky SOB. Anyway, I’ll post the lume tonight.
I’m wearing this Guanqin quartz chrono this week. Already have the review out on watchuseek, but have to re-format it for BLF. Hopefully I will complete it in a few days.

As promised, a lume shot. The blur on the second hand was due to the long exposure
Not showing up on my phone, but surely nothing compared to the Monster. Sorry about the problem with it, by the way. Let us know how it turns out.

Photobucket seems to be down right now for some unknown reason. Anyway, I’m calling Amazon’s repair department about the Seiko later today.
Edit: Photobucket is back online
Requested Seiko Monster lume
