Sorry I’ve been inactive here for a while. I came back after reading Old Lumens was not doing all that great and needs surgery. Anyway, I bought a new watch pictured here. It’s a 44 mm winder with a Seagull 17 Jewel movement made by Parnis.

Seiko lume, second to none. Again, let us know how your repair goes, I hope well.
The repair went well. Unfortunately, they messed up the calibration. It’s gaining 2 minutes a day now. I have to find a local qualified jeweler which shouldn’t be a problem where I live. This sucks! Maybe the hairspring got magnitized in shipping which would cause it to run that fast. I’ll wait a few days to see if it stabilizes.
Yeah, 2 minutes a day, could easily have gotten magnetized. That’s and easy fix, and so is regulating it. Hopefully it will be back on your wrist soon.

I have an old Teac reel to reel tape head demagnetizer somewhere in my house. Maybe that would work, If I can find it…lol
This is my current edc. I got it last year to replace the SKX007K2 I lost a couple years ago. I miss the smooth purr of the 7s26 movement but hacking seconds is nice.
I received my repaired Citizen Blue Angel Skyhawk earlier this week. I couldn’t be happier with how Citizen USA handled the repair service. Very professional and very fast. They kept me advised during the process via email. UPS tracking info as well…I didn’t have to go hunting for the information.
They were only asked to replace the movement, bezel rings, and crystal. They also replaced the entire titanium case, which I was not expecting! So…new case, new movement, new crystal…shoot…basically a new watch sans bracelet, capacitor, dial etc. Included in the heavily padded box was an invoice/receipt, pressure test results, my warranty submission paperwork and my original shipping label, very thorough…nice touch.
I highly recommend their factory service. Check it out!

No one, after lighting a lamp, puts it away in a cellar nor under a basket, but on the lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light.
Good to know! I have a couple Blue Angels citizens (I wanna say a Skyhawk and a Navihawk) that I haven’t worn in years as I didn’t want to beat them to death at work (industrial mechanic).
I bought a new watch for work last month because my current GWS G10 (black PVD) does not have alarms. I’m working with many small deadlines and I keep forgetting them, the multiple alarms and the timer of this Casio have already proven valuable. For weekends the GWS still rules, I can not tolerate a watch without trits anymore

Last week I received this new to me Orient Mako diver with Pepsi bezel. It has great lume, an in-house automatic movement, and a stunning, blue sunburst dial.
I just put a blue/red NATO strap on it, and it looks even better!

i also like that they have a digital line, can not only display more info, it;s better for things like stopwatch times.. the automatics usually don;t even have stopwatch, much less alarms or timers….

As promised, a lume shot. The blur on the second hand was due to the long exposure

Not showing up on my phone, but surely nothing compared to the Monster. Sorry about the problem with it, by the way. Let us know how it turns out.
Photobucket seems to be down right now for some unknown reason. Anyway, I’m calling Amazon’s repair department about the Seiko later today.
Edit: Photobucket is back online
