BLF ReyLight Titanium Flashlight 3*Nichia

Some graphs. Fantastic!

I’m pretty sure that Rey did not measure the output of the light as-sold. First it is still not completely which led he used, he said 219B, then 219C, and now in the OP the 219C is not mentioned anymore, but you mention 84CRI, which does suggest 219+C. The numbers he got from me (2700lm at start-up, 2000 at 30 seconds) were from my triple 219+C mod, and it has bypassed springs and the ledboard soldered to the pill (makes just a little difference). If the light that he sells has 219+B+ high CRI leds, the output will be nowhere near that.

Which is all too well btw, I think I damaged the leds in mine by running it too long too hot, the output at startup is now under 2000lm. In an aluminium light I can easily feel on the outside when it is time to step the output down, in this titanium light the leds can cook before you notice much on the outside. even at the 1000 lumen output that you get you have to be very careful not to run the light at the higest setting for more than say 30 seconds. (it is not mentioned, but does Rey use a Noctigon in this light?) edit: the pictures show the use of a Noctigon alright

Sorry to hear about your unit.
On my unit, the flat top 30Q, NCR-GA and LG MJ1 all can work.
Swapping to 18350 tube, the AW IMR button-top and Keeppower flat top both can work, so most probably your issue is due to samples’ variation.

Regarding the tint, I compared the beam with my Sinner Triple 219B, and I notice the beam on my Reylight is whiter and slightly brighter than my Sinner, so I just takes the word frm Rey that the emitters are 219C.

I can hear the whine on low and medium modes, but it dissappears on Turbo

is there any visual difference between 219B and 219C?

Mine seems to heat up very quickly. Is this pretty common with this light?

Hi, can I still join this? Would like one option #3 if possible!

The heat is normal.

PM coming.

I’m interested in Option #3 w/9 ice blue/green trits alternating + green trit in tail.
Is this 219B?
Are issues all worked out?
What is the turn around time?
Thanks.

Yes.

219B - most are high CRI (90+ CRI), and 4500K. Color temperature is warmer than the 219C and color rendering is better.

219C - much, MUCH brighter than 219B, but typically cooler 5000K color temp and not high CRI.

Are there still any left? If so, I’d like Option #2 with a green Trit in the Tail cap.

Yes, available, PM coming.

Please PM me and let me know if these options are still available:

Option #3

- Ice Blue/Red/Blue trits

  • Red in tail cap

Total cost to deliver to 93737 (California) and expected delivery time.

Thanks - MCT

PMed.

Mine made it in today! Not a triple, but still from Rey!

Found thru hole clips for them at a reasonable price as well!

Preon clip 3 bux!

Is that driver the one from this thread you linked ? The linked driver doesn’t look like it has the solderable stars called for in the firmware you used.

I got my triple from you and it’s very nice, but I want a moonlight mode and I’d like to confirm that the driver supports one before I start taking it apart.

Does that clip fit on the Tool? That looks like an “old-style” Preon clip, one that according to this discussion doesn’t actually fit.

It is 18650 flashlight clip, won’t fit any tool ti AAA.
Here is how to operate the driver, the moon mode is hidden, but it’s not low enough.

Nope Rey, it does not fit. I would almost kill for about 3 clips that would fit. I do not carry the Ti’s or the coppers out of the house after my copper popped a clip and it sat in the yard for a week. Had to travel to get my metal detector to find it.

Thanks. Looks like the mode memory even supports starting from a hidden mode. Unfortunately there’s an extremely bright pre-flash if you start in the hidden moonlight mode, which defeats a lot of the purpose. Guess I may end up changing the driver…

After using it for a few weeks, I have encountered some issues with the light, can anyone help me with these?

  • Sometimes the light does not turn off. Turning it on sets it to turbosometimes, to low other times, half clicks do nothing and turning it off switsches to some kind of moonlight (actually less bright than the hidden moonlight) but does not actually turn the light off. No idea what causes this.
  • Shaking and small bumps switch modes…
  • The light actually turns off when tailstanding/facing the sky.
  • The light won’t even turn on with a Samsung 30Q, I’m assuming because it’s too short. It will turn on with a Sony VTC5 but black residue on the spring suggests arcing… Those two differ by about a millimetre max.

I guess one remedy might be to screw the part holding the spring further into the tube, but I have no tools for that and it likely won’t fix most of these issues. Anyone got any ideas?
