I read the “it will be my first “Real” JaxMan” as being that unlike the Cometa which we thought was a Jax host he knows that this will be a genuine Jax.
I did not read it as being a dig at Jaxman what so ever ?

Has this been improved in the updated version of the Z1? The plastic piece around the LED makes some artifacts in the beam.
Having both the cometa that has an XPL HI and a stock Z1 with XML2, I think they’re fairly close to each other as far as artifacts outside of the hotspot in the beam profile. The XML2 also shows a bit of the square substrate around the yellow phosphor. The XPL HI does indeed show more of the substrate though.
That is all white wall hunting though, where the artifacts are prominent. Outdoors both have a nice beam profile.

Jaxman has said how hard it is to read BLF from inside the Great Firewall.
Less chaff, less grief, less drama — would be good.
