Rating: [BG] BangGood.com

I’ve only had good experiences with Banggood (and Fasttech). Banggood refunded me on the short tube that did not work (wrong threading) with my BLF A6. I’ve stayed away from Gearbest because time is money and saving a few dollars isn’t worth dealing with the inevitable issues.

Banggood refunded my cometa some time ago, still no unsolved problems with them for me.

Remember to be very polite, very specific and clear about what your problem is and what you expect them to do to solve it, and again stay calm and respectful if any misunderstanding arises , they are not native english speakers and probably have terrible working conditions.

I think it speaks a lot of the moral character of leadership in China to keep selling a light that is dangerous. Cash is King and to hell with the end users.

banggood needs to have an agreement that they won’t be stuck with defective lights.
or they need to properly inspect new lights. they know manker is a wanker-fire, so i really don’t have any sympathy for them if they did not inspect lights, or send a sample light to BLF to be checked out. i mean, duh !
and really no sympathy for banggood when they CONTINUE TO SELL A PIPE BOMB FLASHLIGHT !!! DUHHH

I agree. Maybe not if only a hand full are somewhat imperfect, but I would very much like to see the manufacturer do some kind of a recall in this situation.

Its probly difficult to get any of them to make any such a agreement before hand I would imagine. Its also likely that the type of payment required for purchases like this is a bank transfer. I have only worked with about 2 or 3 overseas manufactures on this type of thing. Most often they “assume” a bank transfer or similar which means no fees for them and no recourse for the buyer outside of a court room :frowning:

Nitecore actually did agree to paypal on the condition that I pay the fees on top of the price quoted me. LEDIL allows me to use a credit card upon request, but initially sent me a for for only bank transfer.

They are actually still selling the defective Cometas ?

I had no clue, that’s mind blowing.

I hope it isn’t anything other than internal communications problems and diluted responsability, because a few of us have made perfectly clear to the CS that the Cometas are potentialy dangerous.

I have been shopping with BangGood for a few years now. They’re consistently good with CS for the few occasions I’ve received a faulty product. However, I noticed some changes to the site recently, hence my post here. I have not been following the forum of late so I do not know if these issues have been raised before.

First the removal of customer images for purchases.

It used to be that customers could add images of products purchased. A valuable resource for those without time to write out reviews. But images were purged from the site and now images can only be posted when you write a written review.

Which brings me to my second issue. They are not publishing all of my reviews for products purchased. It is not even that my reviews are particularly negative.

Lastly, the site has been very slow. So perhaps BG decided to purge images in an effort to reduce bandwidth.

I have only purchased from Banggood a few times, and have to say. They have been the quickest shipping of any vendors, I have ordered from China. Usually, within 2 weeks. Their tracking works (unlike some). I did have an issue with an order from their US warehouse (go Figure). After a few emails to their CS, I sent a email through Paypal resolution, and they told me to file (and told me what to say), a paypal claim. I was refunded the same day. I haven’t done enough transactions from China to claim to know, but I have had positive experiences from all the prime vendors on this forum. Other than the bad tracking from other vendors (and have stuff just show up at my door), I have had everything I’ve ordered, delivered within 3 weeks. I probably just shot myself in the foot. :person_facepalming:

Almost as mind blowing as their customer service personnel who obviously have no clue what they are talking about. Purely trained on delay tactics is very clear though.

Bamboo in and of itself is pretty cool I think. But, in other news of the day....

More than 10 available...

Boy, they got a lot of nerve

Their store name is “Nonvoy”. They have very interesting, and familiar, negative feedback. They sell BLF drivers, BLF short tubes, Convoy products, but most incredibly, they sell this flashlight accessory : http://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/121988179650

from their inventory , I assume they are Banggood.

This is a quote from another thread that also belongs here due to info regarding Banggood.

“” Post 99 on June 4 I predicted the return of Chloe to lead the J Team.
and correctly was first to suss out sharpie as J-Man, and also as cat eyes.
But I was apparently wrong about Kronos being cyberescuedo, so that leaves Banggood as being in the crosshairs of culpability regarding the lie that Jaxman was supposed to make the Cometa. I’m not saying Kronos did or didn’t have anything to do with it. Cyberescuedo deleted the Jaxman info from the OP, and Jaxman says he was never consulted to build Cometa, so cyberescuedo is a genuine villian in my book. “”

Tarver - Please stop with the conspiracy theories. There are NO villains here AND the Cometa has nothing to do with this J-Team thread. There is no need for any of this so please delete your post and I shall do the same.

Nice to see you back Chloe.

Most of my orders have been great minus 1 that was never in stock for over month……ended cancelling order but got full refund.

Hey Chloe, nice to see you posting, missed you!

I was going to ignore this , but I remembered that you are closely associated with Banggood, and now lamely defending them in a Banggood rating thread. I guess you don’t care about your credibility.

tarver, you seem to think that people only act out of interest and profit.

This is a forum devoted to a hobby, and even though there are people and companies over here who are actually making (most just a little) money, there is a very high likelyhood that posts are written, and even entire development projects are set-up (failing or not) out of mere enthousiasm for flashlights (even by the ones who are actually manage to earn a living from it).

Please consider enthousiasm for flashlights as a possible motivation for being active on this forum, it will lighten your and our day.

My experience with Banggood has been positive. I purchased three Thorfire VG10 flashlights over the past two months. All work fine. They have good tints, finishes, removable retaining rings that hold the drivers in place. I have been fortunate neither Banggood, Fastech, or Gearbest has ever sent me defective merchandise. The flashlights gods have smiled down on me so far.

I’m done with them. After the Cometa fiasco and other minor shipping issues, this was the last straw.

Gifted a friend with a flashlight from Banggood last month and she asked me to buy 5 for her to give as gifts.

When I placed the order, even though it was a shipment to the US (one state away from CA) from the US warehouse and the product listing said “Free Shipping…via USPS”, the only option I was given at checkout was DHL for $4.56. This was my 9th order from them in 6 months and the first time a shipping fee was mandatory. And, DHL for a US to US shipment?

Received the lights Monday. DHL never had tracking for it. USPS tracked it from California until the mailman handed it to me. I wrote Banggood and said that if they had actually used DHL, fair was fair, but since they used USPS, which should have been free, I expected a prompt refund of the shipping fee. I also went to their site and went through the exercise of creating (then deleting) an identical order. This was one week after placing my order. The only shipping option given this time was USPS at no charge.

The first response was a canned one, telling me how long delivery should take. I wrote back, asking if they actually read my email, the first words of which were “I received my order today”. I again explained, very carefully, my request for a refund. They responded that the order was shipped via “dgm ground service” (sic), whatever that is, and since it arrived within the normal shipping window (true) they could not refund the shipping cost.

I responded that they lost a customer over a $4.56 charge that should not have been made.
