[2016-06-11] Crackdown on rudeness

great!

may i ask to add this link into the “the rude meter” ?

Seems like a good idea. Does it need any special permissions, or does it filter out self-ratings? I marked one of my posts as rude and went to that link and still see nothing.

A mind, like a home, is furnished by its owner, so if one’s life is cold and bare he can blame none but himself…

Oops, sorry, I had something temporarily messed up. Could you please try again?

Yea, I mean, lets be brutally honest here...

It works now.

This is the best solution. I like to say “thanks” for helpful posts and don’t want to lengthen the thread with my “thanks” posts. We have this “thanks” button in German “taschenlampen-forum.de” and the “thanks” are visible in the related post.

And I like the rude button althought I haven’t used it up to now.

Btw: I don’t like this smiley: :person_facepalming:
In many cases it is used in an offending way, saying “your are a fool”. Can’t we get rid of it?

If that’s what it means, I need to use it more often on myself!

If you do so, don’t forget to click the rude button …

lol!

Good sb! I just read a list of my flagged posts, which I have been wondering about. One was definitely neither rude, lewd nor conflictive, and I am 100 percent positive who flagged the other three.
Better, I agree with can, and others above, this has already improved the posting behavior of some members who necessitated new measures in the first place.
Best, besides consistently making great posts, points and contributions, Dale has now recently referenced Styx AND Rush!

Dale can’t be that bad of a guy if he digs Rush.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Excellent idea! Sb! Please.

Oh god, no. Half of my posts contain failed humor.

Try startpage.com. It provides google search results without google’s tracking, profiling or “filter bubble”. It even submits your searches securely so your ISP can’t see what you’re searching either (which also means it won’t be in your browser history). And startpage themselves does no tracking, recording IP addresses or anything whatsoever. privacy-policy

I think you might have forgotten to quote the important part of my post, the failed humour! :sushi:

It’s nice to see a “karma tool” is being implemented in this lovely forum.
