BLF Special Edition Lights - Master List

Headlamp? You can take almost any regular light, put it into a headlamp holder, and wear it on the side of your head. Or almost any small light with a backward clip can clip onto a hat.

I like to be able to change the light’s direction e.g. shine it closer to my feet when walking. Similar goes for fiddling in my PC tower etc.

Ok, so you guys and gals forced me to look to see which ones I have found… So, here goes.

Trustfire A8 BLF
BLF X6-SE, stock NW
BLF A6 - NW & WW
BLF-348
LuckySun BLF D80 - 2xCW, 1xNW
Kronos X5/X6 NW in aluminum, could not afford the nice set when my number came up. :frowning:
Astrolux A01 BLF - 2x219b

I would like to get a hold of the following:
Starry Light SA-22 BLF
Lumintop BLF SD10
ReyLight Copper AAA, because of mode order… and logo

My favorite??? Either the X5 or the A8, tough call.

I have a SD10 LNIB, send me a PM if you are interested.

I got 12, not counting doubles:

BLF Mini
TrustFire A8 BLF
Lumintop BLF SD10
BLF X6-SE
BLF A6
GBGB BLF-348
M24 Sniper BLF-TE
ReyLight Copper AAA
Luckysun BLF D80-SE
Kronos X6 & X5 sets
Astrolux A01
ReyLight Titanium AAA

Out of all of them, for quality and minimum problems, maybe the M24 was the best, followed by the BLF-348, and think the A01 wasn't bad as well.

The M24 was a success because of the vendor, and not willing to cut corners and cost (not much savings on the GB).

The BLF-348 was a success mainly due to it's simplicity, not easy to scratch or damage - light weight, steel.

I think though the Kronos X6 & X5 was the best BLF accomplishment overall. Almost all of these lights above I modded to some extent.

LuckySun BLF D80-SE — all gone (and note need for a longer tube than the stock D80)

Thank you, thank you, Thank YOU!

Thank you. I appreciate any help here to keep this list up to date. However, I followed the links in the D80 thread and the 3C and 5A tints seem to still be in stock. At least, Gearbest will let me add them to my cart. The 1A is out of stock already so the others aren’t far behind, but I think they’re still there at the moment.

Great thread emarked. What a nice thing to do. We appreciate your time and effort.

I for one didn’t realize there were this many BLF Special Edition lights. I have a couple but somehow have managed to miss many.

Thanks Again for the good work. TL

I have a DQG Tiny AAA Ti that is engraved “BLF”. I bought it off a member here. I don’t see any mention in this thread of it?
There are a few earlier ones on that list that I don’t have that I would love to get my hands on, lol…. collectors disease.

You’re welcome. Thanks for the thanks. Its been a fun project and I’ve learned a lot about blf while working through it.

Great, thanks for the lead. If you’ve got any more info I’d appreciate it. Approximate date? Link to thread would be awesome. Also, wanna sell it? My collector’s disease infection might be stronger than yours…

A lot of stuff happened here before I joined, too, so I’m definitely at a disadvantage trying to piece all the history together. I’ll see what I can find on your mystery blf light.

I cant find any info on it. I can PM you who I bought it from, he may have more info. As far as selling it, prob not. It is one of my favorite lights (it is TINY, not much bigger than a AAA).

I also have a Starry Light BLF in cool as well as neutral. lol, has only been the last couple that I chose a tint and didn’t just buy one of each.

I may take you up on that if I have to but I’d rather try and find it myself before I start bothering folks about it. Thanks though, I may be back in touch.

I got the:

BLF X6-SE CW & WW
BLF A6 CW
Kronos X6 & X5 SS/Cu-set in the wooden box
Astrolux A01 Cu

The BLF-348 I did not buy. Previous to the GB I had a Singfire 348 that I gave away. I did not like it: Slippery When Wet.

At the moment I am re-assembling the X6-SE CW after dedoming the led. I have bought quite a few lights after that one but I am still pretty impressed by its build quality.

It might not be a BLF special edition. CNQG (who first carried this light) offers engraving for like $2 extra, and someone may have just decided to get BLF engraved on it.

I think CNQG did a group buy on the Tiny AAA II (steel) once, and (IIRC) a serial-numbered group buy on the DQG Spy, but I don’t recall any for a titanium version. You can check Ric’s threads for more details.

Edit: I couldn’t find the “Starry Light” group buy in Ric’s threads, and eventually found it here instead. So, it looks like there are CNQG group buys posted by people other than Ric. A search for the Tiny AAA Ti is likely to need a wider scope than I was thinking.

Ok, so when are are going to implement those here with the individual required skills to build a light from start to finish?

I think you need to start from Budget Lathe Forum, to build the tools to build the tools.

There’s a hole in the bucket, dear Liza, dear Liza, There’s a hole in the bucket, dear Liza, There’s a hole. Then fix it dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry, Then fix …

That’s outside the scope of this list and I don’t think I’ll be tackling that project. Are you volunteering?
