warsun x50 is the newer model of x65?
Is this a disable light, as in multiple modes, or is it simple off /on interface? It looks to be a simple off /on. Correct?
Idk about the X50 bit my X65 has high low blink
(when watching the beam on a wall with camera: on high with li ion and alkaline there is no flicker to be seen the entire runtime. On low one cannot use it for film work because there is a very noticeable flicker in the can view.)
Yes. AFAIK the only difference is the LED: XM-L in X65 and XM-L2 in X50.
Same interface (high, low, strobe), pwm in low as well, not visible with bare eyes.
No mode memory.
I’m sure my X50 has mode memory. 
Checked mine again. No memory, always starts in high after a few seconds off. Do I have to activate it?
You’re correct, no mode memory. Just checked mine again and it always starts in the mode following the one you left it in. :person_facepalming:
Low, strobe, high.
That would be “next mode” memory. But mine doesn’t even have this. I noticed that I have to leave the light off for quite some time (10 seconds or more) to get it started with default 1st mode (high), otherwise it goes to next mode.

Ahh, that’s my first with next mode memory.
It’s annoying as I always want it on high, I’ll replace the driver.
A graphite pencil can sometimes remove next mode memory, just draw a thick line across the capacitor.
A next mode memory of max. 10 seconds is not really memory. I would rather say the capacitor for offtime measurement (if there is any) is way to big - what is probably compensated with the pencil line.
