Just bought a KD C8, which batteries would you recommend?

These are the ones i use in my KD C8, everywhere on the forum these batteries seem to be recommended.

Most seem to lean towards the trustfire flames along with me. But if you want to get the best of the best supposedly, get AW. Anything with a little bit of a rep will probably do you good. But from everything I've read. stay away from ebay.

There was a thread somewhere where an unfortionate ebay'er bought a group of 18650's on ebay and each one was different on the inside besides having the same labels on the outside. Couldn't find th thread though. I'm sure someone will know of it.

XTAR's are a safe bet. Should be on the top list /price/performance/quality. Either the 2400 or the 2600 are fine. The 2200mAh are a bit outdated today but if you can get a good deal on... At least they are cute enough to compensate the 200mA difference.

Also had great pleasure by using formerly known as WOW (now Hi-max) 2600mAh batteries from ebay but since the price went up i switched to the XTAR brand. Buying in bulk makes sense. Customs seems uninterested in batteries (for now) so i successfuly ordered 10pcs without getting raped by customs a few times.

Anyway, to each it's own. Trustfires and the like are not for me. I'm very suspicious about those anyway. Even fakes are rampant these days...

To date the xtar and formerly WOW/hi-max are the only ones which protection circuit triggers properly every time. I reccomend those batteries. Decent IMR batteres might be another possibility and are generaly a lot safer (so they say) by chemistry. Expensive!

I'm still undecided about buying from this seller, however he does have the decency to warn that the Xtar 2600mAh batteries are thicker than the average 18650. Does anyone know whether there is any problem using these batteries in the KD C8?

flames are bang for buck the best..never had a problem with em..

They are good, i asume you seen my TFF test,s ive done on them, sofar for bang VS buck and mAh they are the best $$$ value in my opinion out of the redilast, hi-max, solarforce v2,s ive tested and will do 3 + amp discharges no problem.

Just remember not all trustfire flames are equal from all sellers and im only talking about the ones ive test from one supplier as ive not had much luck else where, but if you want a well matched cells and the best money can buy the redilast 2600 mAh have to my choice but they are 300% more in price a pair for not much more performance really.

All I'm looking for from the Manofont Trustfire is run-time ie. capacity and protected cell and like you say Manafont tend to get the better stuff so we'll see, I'm normally only a 2600 Sanyo and Samsung (unprotected in cut-off drivers) and Xtar fan. I think these Trustfires will fit the bill as economic, safe and reliable daily users for my non-addicted colleagues!

The trustfires I've tested test higher then the xtars and are $2.50 usd cheaper and some people's xtar orders are taking more then a month to turn up.

Ill check out the links when I get home as I'm on my mobile, I'm after a good P7 as I don't have any lights with a P7 led.

I get my Xtar's from the above dude in UK and they are the black wrap ones and give a good capacity but like we know it's @ 50-100 ma less than rating.

Very reliable in use and nice to use though.
