POWER BANKS: Recommendations Please

I have neither the experience nor skills to build my own. Tried to research potential purchases here on BLF,other forums and the interweb. Results are all over the map with prices, brands, capacities and efficiencies. Much of the information is also very dated.

Can anyone here please help? Unless told otherwise, prefer > 20,000 maH and quick charge capability. Use will primarily be at home (power outages).

Thanks for your recommendations and links!

This is going to be my next portable power bank. I have one of the RavPower jump-starters and really like it alot. We get a lot of use out of these when away from home.

RAVPower 22000mAh 5.8A

My wife will probably need a power bank later in the year when she has our baby as she’ll likely be in hospital for a couple of days. She’ll not need a massive power bank but something usable for her OnePlus two. Any suggestions please?

TIA

How many times more runtime do you think she’ll need compared to what the phone can do on its own battery?

maybe 2-3 or so?

The Ravpower 20100mah QC 3.0 is good but expensive: https://www.amazon.com/Qualcomm-Certified-RAVPower-20100mAh-Portable/dp/B019IFIJW8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1469972041&sr=8-3&keywords=ravpower+20000mah

HKJ did a review, charges itself in 6 hours with quick charge 2.0, 3.0. Quick charge output too.

A ~10,000 mAh pack should do the job. I don’t have an favorites right now. I just ordered a BlitzWolf from Bangood for about $20 with a coupon code. because it was the best price for something in that capacity with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3, which I wanted because I want to try and use it to power a 12v device. The Xiaomi pack with USB Type C (and standard USB) should be nice, but its closer to $30. There are other, cheaper options too, but a lot of them use 4-5 lower-density 18650s, rather than 3, like the Blitzwolf, or high power density pouch cells like the Xiaomi.

To the OP, be aware that the 32,000 mAh Intocircuit pack mentioned above isn’t just a jumbo version of the typical USB power bank. It can power laptops and other higher voltage devices, BUT, it can’t be charged from USB. It needs a higher voltage wall-wart.

I’ve tested some powerbanks, maybe this Google Sheets doc will help you a bit.
There’s some QC powerbanks on it.

I reviewed it too, and was impressed.
Provides a lot of juice during the festival season

Could you keep me informed when you get it? You’ll be the 5th person I know that owns one.
I got mine in, and it has issues on the 5V output, and I’m trying to get as many experiences together…
