Asking COMETA buyers details for possible refunding

Guys, i’m not Cyberscudo, i don’t work for Banggood and i asked you the details as the reference of BG asked me.

It are important to count how many users want the refund and Bg based on the number of users that is in the list, they decide to give it or not.

That’s all, nothing to hide to you. If you don’t trust in sharing your details, feel free to don’t share it.

Don’t want to give us the info? you’re free to do so. We won’t try to convince you.we are here to help. Not to beg.
You think that you are better doing yourself with paypal/BG? Good for you. We wish you best luck.

I had no hesitation to send this information to Won. I think there is a fair chance this will work out. Better than the alternatives I have seen so far.

For your Cometa, Wonwuster requests by PM:

- ID of the transaction

- Tracking number

- Email of your BG account

  • Email of your PayPal account

Not so risky or complicated in my opinion. I am hopeful. Thanks Won!

OK thanks, Keepitsharp. I wasn’t trying to offend anyone, I just wanted to make sure this was all legit.

I said nothing of begging nor did i say I was getting a refund through BG or Paypal. I started out with it by saying “no disrespect”, was just wonder who this was. I really dont give af about the $40 if I have to do it like this.

Here’s the problem, you don’t need all this info changing hands through multiple members to get a handle on how many refunds need to be given out. One thread, titled, Post “I do” in this thread if you want a full, no BS refund for your COMETA is all you need to do to get a headcount as to how many refunds might be necessary. You could even put a time limit on it. Easy peasy.

Neal, him/herself, who, less we forget, is the actual BG representative on this forum, could have, and indeed should have, started a thread like this the moment BG decided they needed to know how many refunds might be necessary.

Then, if they actually decide to give a refund, some sort of code could be given out via PM that would alert BG to give a refund without jumping through hoops when you open a ticket.

Yes, what is being asked here seems simple enough, but when people with no history here start asking for personal info, it raises a red flag. I don’t think the info could be used for nefarious purposes, but I’m pretty sure the tracking number alone would net someone at least part of my home address and if I wanted that given out willy nilly, I’d just put it in my sig line.

In the end, I don’t think this offer from BG is anything but a delaying tactic. If BG really wanted to solve this, Neal would be here asking for the the info him/herself.

Wow,
I’m kind of surprised by the ferociousness of responses. While I understand the concern about identity theft, I think that if someone wanted to steal identities from BLF members, there would certainly be easier ways to get the info. I happen to believe that a “group negotiation” may be considerably more successful than individual negotiations. There is no pressure for anyone to be part of this, just an offer to help if anyone wants to participate. I am grateful someone is willing to help. I have dealt with Neal at Bangood in the past, and one on one he has always been fair to me. This is a fairly unique situation in which I have received a product that works (sort of), but not entirely as it should and it most certainly is not built to the advertised specifications. I am happy to let those who have offered to try and negotiate a refund without the cost of shipping the light back to China. As previously mentioned by others there is no obligation to be a part of this. I will admit that I am relatively new and more of my time has been spent on other
forums, so I do not know all of the people on both sides of this discussion, so I have no place to say “can
we all be kinder and a little more respectful of each other”. So instead I will just say thank you to those who are trying to help negotiate a refund on my behalf.

Cone, this is an attempt by Won and Budda to resolve it.
They probably think handing the info shows the seriousness of their request and hope this will move things along I think it is to be applauded they try this.

+1

Was this directed at me specifically? If so, I’m not seeing anywhere where what I said rose to the level of “ferociousness”.

Just to be clear, I appreciate the effort made by these guys to straighten it out, though I personally believe this negotiation is merely a delaying tactic on BG’s part.

And I do believe that there are easier ways to get a head count and Neal should be hosting the thread. People didn’t want to jump through endless hoops before when dealing directly with BG and no one should be surprised that they don’t want to jump through hoops, albeit much easier ones, now.

Hi Cone, no, not specifically at you, in general the overall tone of the response to the thread. Someone is offering to help anyone who wishes to participate, and my personal opinion is that the overall tone was more negative than it needed to be. If I felt one single person was really offensive, I would deal with it through pm. Just as if anyone feels offends by me, I would hope they would contact me directly. I think most of us on the forum who share a love of lights could be a little kinder and respectful of one another.

Well, well, well………
After much travail, polite & cordial mind you; but travail none the less… I have joined the ranks of bella-headlight in post #11 above.
A successful, as well as fair; solution was negotiated & completed with BG.

Best of luck to this effort by Won & Budda, as well as the rest of you.

Hey Teacher,
Congratulations! Proof that perseverance and persistence can be effective! Thanks for letting us know. Hopefully we will join the rank of the refunded as well…

Thank you Crazyeddie! Yep the two “P’s” you mentioned along with “Polite, but firm” seemed to do the trick.
Good luck…… :+1:

I would love a group refund. I have tried dealing with bangood, and it is very frustrating. I have asked for the repair part and they will not ship them to me. They keep going round and round, asking for video, pictures, links etc.
I have referenced threads that show the parts to help avoid a short, and was willing to fix it myself, but after weeks of politely asking they have not sent any parts or even agreed to send them to me. Even after sending a link and my order number, theygo back to asking for videos! So in if a group refund becomes available I would like my money refunded.

Thanks to all trying to fix /resolve this.

Paul
