sipik sk68 clone for $6.16... :-)

What's imprinted on the side? UltraOK or nothing?

Nothing.

Great, now I just ordered another one..you guys are killing me...

I just bought one for 3.11 GBP ($5.02 USD after currency conversion and fees).

These are good units. Rockin' on 14500s, and still run on AAs.

Edit: that's one smokin' fixed price sale in the OP.

Finally getting my first Sipik68. Now where to I get 14500s?

When all is said and done I will have 3. Its a great deal for a great little light.

I ordered a pair from the above eBay link, but they have not yet arrived.

I wouldn't buy GTL anything ....i'd ask one of the real battery guys here on BLF what to buy where buy I'd lay money against GTL being anything but bad garbage as far as batteries go ....I have trustfire flames and bestinone LMR 14500's and would recommend either or both ..

I have no experiance with GTL batteries ..and i also have no experiance with 14 day old food from a dumpster ..

ebay lithium ions are almost always a bad idea unless you're really smart or incredibly lucky

Does the light provide constant brighteness guys?? (current controlled/digitally regulated)

Seems like you have strong opinions about GTL batteries even if you don't own any. I have other Ebay lithium Ions like ultrafire 16340s and they are fine with long runtimes. I don't yet have any GTL's either but if they are bad when they arrive I will say so. To call something garbage like 14 day old food will no personal experience indicates lack of open mindedness to a potential cost battery effective solution.

A vast generalization and rant based on zero 1st hand experience of the GTL brand for the Sipik application. I guess I am just lucky with my ebay 16340 ultrafires also under $4 a pair.

I've have had GTL cells when they have been bundled free with lights that I've bought. They truly are dire. The capacity claims are always fantastically over the top. I've kept them as spares for emergencies but never use them routinely because I do not trust them.

You are totally right that Boaz has no personal experience of these cells, however, like all of us, his opinion is informed by what other trusted BLF'ers have reported. Unanimously the view of GTL is very, very poor indeed.

After all would you trust a company that claimed this.

I don't own any GTL's and won't after seeing the battery reviews.

The Sipik listing has ended.

Gcbryan called me a bit blunt ....

I think my point was ..Universally they are always found on the bottom of every battery graph. Everything i've ever seen or heard about gtl batteries leads me to one conclusion .

As a warning shot to people who stumble across them and think "oh well they are cheap maybe i should try them"..I just wanted to scream it out ...

Don't do it ..!!!

I'm not promoting some super expensive battery like an AW instead or trying to be an elitist ,battery snob .

The gtl battery says 1200mah on it ..without having any experiance with them I'd bet 1000$ it won't do half that . Ithink trustfire flames that everyone has and likes ..do about 650 max ?

Like I said i'd search blf and talk to some battery guys here . But I think it's safe to say gtl batteries just flat out suck .

Well see it there just as linked in the OP so perhaps its started again.

No, it dims as cell weakens.
