When they sell their battery division it will be difficult to make new cells.
But the buyer will probably continue the development and probably with the same people.
I do not disagree and in fact it is quite logical, because the company has announced some time ago, that would deal more with the construction and development of lipo batteries.
But I’ve read about some new technology from the company, which will come to market in 2020 from Sony and is far superior to the current batteries.
It is not new in fact.
Launched in 2008, but now has reached the final stage and will see it on the market as Sony since 2020.
The goal of the company is the vehicle electrification ……… of course ….
There are other companies that have already such batteries by 2015 and earlier.
Some of them have implemented up aeronautical structures.
Sony has however stated that it will take the form that we know all of us, as 18650 ………….
This is the main reason that leads me to believe that it will not stop to produce batteries with its own name.
But …………… you never know of course what makes a company this size ……….
It is one of the leading companies in this industry.
So I find that hard to stop construction of the Li-Ion 18650.
4x VTC6 shipped to the US is €31 or $34… Not bad at all! Probably a good idea to order them now before they go out of stock or counterfeit versions shows up.
Imrbatteries has them us domestic for $10 @ piece. If ordered today could probably get them by Sat. Imma wait for the price to come down. 30q and hg2 more then fill my needs. If my light makes 30 more lumens I wouldnt be able to notice it anyway. I see its w great battery, but not $10 to me. When I could have 2 30q or ga
One local dealer put a blog up as to why he is NOT selling any SONY 18650’s……20 minutes later I get an email from IMR batteries saying they are selling them.!
Dang, just got am email from IMRBatteries too. They probably bought qty 1,000 (714 in stock showing) from an Alibaba wholesaler - figured can make a nice profit while they're fresh and hot. They usually FedEX them, but even DHL is super fast.
Get this - I ordered a SKYRC MC3000 charger yesterday (Tuesday) from GB with a coupon code, so paid $88 and they offered free DHL. The package is expected to arrive at my house tomorrow!
Funny, guess not so bad for $9 each shipped from the Netherlands - got an email today they are finally going to ship them today, not "shipped" but gonna ship.... Weird.
