GearBest.com Forum FAQ

1.- You keep saying "stocking time" in the statement above. Where does anything on any item page, in your web store, show "stocking time"? I have yet to see it one time. What do you really call it and why not call it what it is instead of confusing people? Is it called "Dispatch:Ships within 3-5 business days" Is that what you are calling stocking time??

2.- You do not stock items correct? I mean you do not have inventory? So you are just a reseller? You just look through the Chinese version of ebay, (taobao), over there and you look at what is out there, then you just put up web pages on items you do not actually have on hand, is that correct? We want to know, because when you say, 2-5 days "stocking time", you actually do not know do you? You do not know until you actually call the person who has the item to find out if they really do have them? So many times they might not show their real stock and you find they do not even have the item themselves. Is that true?

3.- You do not really ship the items yourself? You call the person who has the item and give them our shipping information and they ship the item. Is that not correct? So you have absolutely no control over quality and since the other person is only selling to you, they have no real concern over quality, since they are not shipping directly to you, but they are shipping to a 3rd party, is that about how it works over there?

You are consistently taking a month or more to get "free shipping" items to the customer. You need to find better ways, or talk to other sellers and find out how they do it, because you are one of the slowest sellers we have and you need to correct that problem and do it now, not next year, if you want to continue in places like this. We know from doing this for years, that about half of your month shipping time is "getting the item sent out". We know that, because we have been doing this for years and we have learned the hard way. Do not think that we do not know.

Be honest in your answers here. I am not trying to cause hurt. I just want the honest answers.

I agree with O-L about shipping. I think GearBest is one of our best sellers right now, but the slow shipping speed is really hurting you. I am trying to suggest users on another forum purchase from you, but I have to do so with stating that the shipping will be very slow (that is usually a turn off).

Also, I'm not sure why but tracking for my packages never seems to work, not even within the US. I received a GearBest package yesterday (NL Post) which never worked in tracking. The "tracking number" on the package was correct but was labeled as a "reference number".

You could be a much bigger success getting these two things sorted out!

How long does it get to answer a ticket?

Sometimes 3days sometimes forever…

I’m trying to place an order but it’s not giving me a shipping method option. When I try to click “Place my order” a notification comes up saying “Please choose shipping method”.

Then, it means products in the order have no avaible shipping method to your country, did you try to order battery

Has anyone ever received a bunk tracking number from a gearbest order? I ordered something like 3 weeks ago and the track no. doesnt work. GB doesnt seem to understand what i mean and just ask me if the light works. I wouldnt know since i dont think they ever shipped it.

Oops seems like the guy above has had this happen. Also the other guys theory is correct. I once ordered batteries from GB and they came from the czech republic. So odd.

I’ve purchased several times from GB and most likely the tracking number works after 1-2 weeks from shipping date.

This seems to be true — at least, when I’ve asked specific questions about specific products that someone could answer by holding it in his/her hand and looking at it, they are unable to answer.

Nothing wrong with that. Just asking, as OL does above, for honest answers about how it’s done.

You don’t need to fool us.
Indeed, that’s usually a mistake.

@gearbest: First of all thanks for supporting the BLF community. All my orders came in really fast lately (under 21 days), but there is one aspect I would like to clarify and I hope it is ok to ask here.

Whenever I review an item on gearbest.com it is unclear how many points I will receive. All my reviews include pictures, longer texts and a video. But the points received vary from 10-xxx. Sometimes the points for the review are high (160+) and sometimes I only get 10 points for pictures, video and the text.

I have read the Ts&Cs on gearbest.com but I would welcome any further clarification here in the forum.

Thank you!

Hi tech,

Thanks for your attention.

May I know where you write the review? Please kindly PM me the link of your review, once receive, I will check and solve for you.

Thanks for your patience and kind support.

I believe they drop ship items Eben though it says China warehouse on the website. I’ve never had one order ship from China. Ibe learned order a month out from what you need. A little over s week ago I ordered 8x NCR 18650ga and the tracking number shows chec republic. But it hasn’t shipped yet the number isn’t active. Its taken about two weeks before to be shipped and active but never three weeks as in your case. I had a order go missing for awhile. And they wanted me to wait 3 months for a reship even with insurance. Unless its a high dollar order I Skip the insurance now. It would take 4-5 months to receive my order by using the insurance claim

I use pay pal and its the shippers responsibility to show proof of tracking. So if it comes to that…

My most recent order was sent using Australia Post, and arrived in 2 weeks, which is pretty good. I think Gearbest’s shipping has improved considerably lately.
