Ultrafire C3 Cree XP-G R5 1 Mode (AA/14500)... nice price

Mmm... very tempting, but... which one of these logos are the real one? New Manafont flashlights, one of them could be a cheap copy

Ultrafire U20 logo and Ultrafire C3 R5

Sometimes copies of Ultrafires are better than the original.

@Oldienea: That driver would make it 14500 only, so you would loose AA support.

LOL OK, but which one is the original?

UPDATE: well, found this logo @ Ultrafire official site.

UPDATE2: Ha ha, another logo: http://www.ultrafire.net/pic/M88.JPG

I always had bad contacts at the head of the light... this was on 3xC3 the case. What could be a sign of longer threads, is the little gap between battery tube and head. I have sworn to myself to never buy UFs any more, where I don't have reviews to check for build quality on the main body, being the guinea pig on UFs is a pain. And even if there are good reviews, you might get something totally different with the next batch... how many different UF C3 are there? ... 10, 20... ?

I think the logos on UF depend on which day of week we have... Mondays it's TLTRAFIRE... because the logomaker partied to much on the weekend. You don't need someone else to worsen the quality, UF can do this themselves. Think of it as UltraLottery. You might get the best flashlight there is, or a doorstop.

I see they've outsourced their graphic design to an institution for the blind. Or someone on the web team needs to learn about scaling images.

Hahahaha LOL Yeah, at this point and taking into account that Ultrafire lights are budget lights, we shouldn't complain if it's a copy or not

Hi guys! There is any discount coupon for this flashlight at manafont????

Are you sure that second letters not a capital 'i'.Sealed

Don't know of one - there is a referral programme but i have no idea how it works. If I did, I'd give you my link to use. But you would probably rather that you got the discount instead of me.....

circle referral ftw

Very nice little light. Exactly same size as the AA S1. Good threads, anodized, and all lubed. O-rings front and

back. Nothing glued, so easy modable. Smooth reflector. Very bright with no or very faint Cree rings.

Had a tendency to a hole in the middel. Uncrewed the pill half a turn and now it has the usual big

bright hotspot of a R5. Hotspot brighter than the hotspot of my AA S1, but not much. I cant test

the lumens, so I dont know the figures. To night I´ll test them together in darkness, so I can see

the spil.

Cant tailstand. Body good for holding the light the "cigarway". Lanyard good for big hands.

The C3 has the usual white light of the Cree led. GID o-ring at lens.

Gets hot quickly, so its probably direct driven on 14500. Good handwarmer in winter.

Good light for the price, but if you want a warmer tint, go for the AA S1 and save 4$ in the process.

How is performance on NiMH and alkas?

Of Cource less bright than on 14500. Just tested it with my Romisen G2 II Q5 from Shining Beam.

The latter has a smaller and slightly brighter hotspot. Its day here, so I cant really see the spill. But in a

dark room the C3 seems to have the upper hand clearly in that field.

Photos or review please!

What photos would you like? Cant do it tonight though, its raining heavy.

Maybe a white wall beamshot next to the G2 on 14500 and AA for starters, if you own a smooth white wall. My white walls all have slight Orange Peel. In German it is called 'Rauhfaser' ... don't know the English word for it .... is it 'ingrain wallpaper' ?:

Got mine today. The hotspot doesn't look good. Too much yellowish emitter die color. Might have to pull out the hairspray again.

Here is some photos of the C3 compared to a Romisen G2:

Thanks for the beamshots.
