A thread to show of and celebrate your Old-Lumens creation.

Thanks for the info ‘TL’, that is a nice looking blade!!! :+1:
And of course the lights are also…….

Waiting patiently for Slow2go (actually he’s very2 fast  ) posting his collection of OL’s flashlights.

My precious:

A joint effort from Justin and Steve: One More for the Road? Holiday Giveaway from MRsDNF & O-L - We have a Winner!

I was lucky enough to have four examples:

Copper pipe cap pill, CNQG optic, and nichia 219A

-Edit Heres the sales thread from back in Jan ’13

How old is that one RBD?

I like that one Rufus!! I have several of the AA OL did… I don’t think mine have the grooves though. I need to get some pictures of those. Thanks for sharing!!
TL

I wonder if any of his XHP-70 lights with the Lum5 –90 reflector are still floating around out there?

3 years or so I guess. I’d have to dig through either threads or pm’s to find out. Edit, found it several pages back in his WTS threads.

Well, there is one person who has most of the lights ever made. I think he will probably start a museum when I'm gone, LOL. Can't disclose who, but I think he had to build an addition to house all of them.

Scaru?

Great thread, my favorite so far is the quad thing SB has. Pretty sure slow2go is the king of OL lights, he bought a truckload of Justin’s lights. As of now slow2go has 202 posts so he probably has about 150 OL lights. Just about all of his posts are “I will take it” in OL sales threads.

The last few years, in a few photos.

Lots of beautiful work OL…. I am glad that I have some of these. Many Many Thanks for your efforts to make these jewels. TL

Can get to the link but can’t view any pictures. OL, did you sell the light with the SRK handle and huge reflector, think it had one of the XPH emitters, test photos were done in the factory.

Might have to be a Google+ member, not sure. The link should show something like this:

That first post has the photos in there and you just click on the large one, to see the album.

Anyhow, everything is gone. I have no lights at all that were made or modded by me.

Thanks Justin. My surprise win arrived Friday as well I’ll post a picture up soon and put a link to your page in the OP.

This is my modded by Old-Lumens Maglite MTG-2 flashlight complete with its made by Old-Lumens very strange lanyard. :stuck_out_tongue:

Here’s my Old lumens creation. I wore this on my key chain for almost a year. I like to have a heavyish light on my key chain, dangling out of my pocket as a counter weight to keep my keys off the bottom of my pocket. Plus I always have quick access to a light. I didn’t baby this light at all, and let it accrue a distressed look which I like. The old lumens human lathe method of shortening the battery tube is extremely robust. The joint is still rock solid. I did end up modifying it a bit. The way OL designed it was a direct drive 3-up nichia, on or off by screwing the head to make contact. It was a good candidate to try out QTC (quantum tunneling composite) material. I stuck a few pieces of qtc in there and made the light infinitely adjustable from super low moonlight to turbo with just a slight twist. The qtc works great for a few months then gets finicky as it looses its sponginess.

Having this dangling out of my pocket lets everyone know I’m a flashoholic

I found this pic in old lumens google plus album when the light was freshly polished

Here’s the light now showing off its distressed look and super low qtc moonlight.

Thanks for showing ej. The QTC sounds like an interesting mod.
