Brinyte changing brand name to ORCATORCH

Thanks guys, I appreciate your help!

eww, you guys made me google image search “orca crotch”

Brinyte ED30 it’s very nice flashlight! Will replace my Fenix E11 (1AA flashlight), but the price is too high :~
No one know some other place to buy it at less price?

here is a quick search:

http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?SearchText=Brinyte+ED30&catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20141006025536

http://www.alibaba.com/trade/search?fsb=y&IndexArea=product_en&CatId=&SearchText=Brinyte+ED30

if you message Alibaba then ask the cost shipped to your address.

The ED30 is a nice light. I prefer the ED10 myself, but I had two of the 30s and 3 of the 10s. My mother in law took a 30 for the car with a pair of Eneloops, and a 10 for beside the bed at night and a mate took an ED10. I carry a 10 in rotation with my Sunwayman V11R.

They are not a $60 light though (as in one offering from an AliExp link above), not even a $40 light IMO. $20-25 is about the price point I think is reasonable but I didnt pay that for mine. Mine were direct from the maker, like the link below, around $9 each plus post was I think $12 for all 5, I had them in under 14 days.

The alibaba link has them at $9 - 12, good price there and a good find.

The best price I’ve found on Aliexpress is here: Brinyte ED30 shipped. I’ve ask the seller if they are real Brinyte or clone and he said: “This torch is really brinyte flashlight. We are the Online store of brinyte, we have professional factory.
For this ED30 flashlight, we are doing clearance sell on it. So it is only $19.88”
And it’s a real good price.

A very f*g great bargain! But….I always know that from Alibaba only retailer or so on can buy…I’m wrong?

Really, Who thinks this crap names up?

I have never bought from Alibaba so cant say, but this one offers a trial order. It appears you can buy 1 light if required. Postage will not be free though. I found it cheap enough with 5 lights. But ask them for a quote on one light.

Shenzen Yeguang as found in the $9-12 light is the maker of the light. The $9 version looks like it is AA only (going by the specification sheet), while the $12 light has an extension tube to use 2 AA, or a 14500. They might not use the same driver, and the lack of the extension tube and different driver make up the price difference. They are from the same place.

This is the one Id go with This product is no longer available.

Thank you very much, very kindly

I’ve talked today, online chat, and when she said: “how many pieces of flashlight do you want to order?” I said…“ehm…just one, for sample”, 30 seconds of silence, after that she said “OK”!!

But ask me 12$+1$ for Alibaba for shipping… :~ So, just for 1 flashlight it’s not a good deal (on aliexpress it’s 19,88$ shipped). I’m thinking to buy Brinyte ED10 too, to halve the cost. Final cost will be 32,63$ but no tracking, standard shipping, and more than 20 days to arrive at my door (as always, 30/40 days later). I don’t know… :frowning:

Hi guys!

Many thanks your support to Brinyte, and here is a mistake need to be corrected.

Brinyte, our brand, never changed our brand!

And we are developing our diving and hunting flashlights.

Except our website and online store, our Facebook (Brinyte) regularly publish some promotional information also.

I was lookng forward to
FreeWillyFire. :stuck_out_tongue:

To Brinyte or not to Brinyte, that’s the question.
It seems there is a (Sysmax like) dispute going on between a trading company and a production company.

What’s in a name.
I remember that Fiat, in one of it’s countless attempt to build something bigger than a backpack, came up with the CROMA.
That might be a fine name for a car, in Latin or so, but over here it’s also a well known name for (a B-brand of) baking-fat.
The first salesreps who drove that car became the laughingstock of their community.

Any name in itself means nothing to start with, it can become a NAME when it is known for quality, good products, service, et cetera.
A good product does not get any better by rebadging it. But it will get more expensive when there’s a blue chip name on that badge.
Imho the first focus of Orcatorch should be trying to regain the lost brand-value of that move.

I sure hope they won’t discontinue their 2*CR2 MT-G2 CW Sardinite.

Good advice!

To create a good brand,to be recognized in the markt, companies need high quality, good service, correct market positioning and marketing strategies.

It's a hard work to buld brand, but it will great pull once succeed.

Orcatorch-a?

Tonelife, it is in bad taste to SPAM other manufacturer sales threads…

I prefer Brinyte to ORCATORCH, but maybe its a way of recreating their brand to create some excitement. I think they should focus efforts on quality, top value torchs than be concerned about a name change.

So, I’m puzzled. Is there still a confusion here between two different companies?
I asked the Orcatorch userid the question in a message and pointed here.

ANSWERED in a PM, I assume OK to post:

Sounds good and unique brand name, but that needs a lot of time for people to let them know the brand they are using, through publication and media.

Ironic userid for one-post self-advertising — who likely found the thread with a search engine bot.

Snicker. Massively posted around the Internet, ’oogle it.
