Semi groupbuy Jaxman X1 host

The Miller this is the first time you’ve had one in your hands you say?
Yes indeed, I remember when I got mine about 6 months ago or so and I just sort of starred at it for must have been an hour, it is some beautiful work, I am surprised that people are not jumping all over these…
I keep thinking about getting another X1 host but decided to buy the new non anodized L6 from Simon today and maybe get another X1 tomorrow haha, who knows.
Enjoy that light it is a beauty for sure.

Yes it is the first time I see this beauty

Here some phone pics

The fins

That light is beautiful and I’m sure you noticed just how well balanced it is at that tri-pod screw in adapter point, you hold this light in one hand and an L2 in the other you can really tell the difference as far as balance, and beauty, 3 layered heat fins, one round and two offset to each other, just feels really good to hold in your hand for sure.

Ordered.

Ha it takes off now al of all of a sudden

Hmm being a bit hung over from a party last night I might just opt to make the X1 work today since I am not really feeling like rock smashing and lifting

First batch of the hosts are sold out.
Will write when the new ones are available!

Is the pill by any wild chance the same as the Z1?
And if not, has anyone talked to Hoop about making a pill for the X1 yet?

Ah let me check that tonight.
Report back on it in a couple of hours.

The pill of the Z1 and X1 are different
The size ia slightly off and the X1 has finer threading and two screws to hold the ledboard
They do not Lego.

So I am staring at a bunch of parts.
The lighted PD tailcap parts of the Cometa seem like a good fit.
The screws cannot be used with the manker ledboarded XPL Hi but it fits the pill nicely.
The gasket provided fits good.

The driver of the Cometa is 17mm
So I have to connect it to the blank driver and to be honest it is freaking me out knowing a driver board has both pos and neg in its traces.
Soooo…
Planning of drilling the center part away with a dremel and to use the spring on the Cometa driver location (have it de-soldered now)
And fill the whole edge of driver and Jaxboard with solder to make it just a ring connected to the pill (not going to do this noisy dremeling now at night.)

As a by product I did found the Kronos X6 tail lighted switch does fit the Convoy C8 that has a Bistro driver in it that did not work reliable with the lighted parts of the Cometa tail so my son now had about the coolest single emitter C8 I can imagine
Grey
OP reflector (this hotspot is so smooth wauw!)
AR coated lens
XPL Hi NW on DTP copper
Bistro driver
Lighted tailcap
Clip
Yeah it does not get much better then that in terms of a C8.

So planning on doing the X1 tomorrow since it deserves it to be assembled asap.

Ha Ha Ha, Got to love it The Miller I’ve always got one eye on you, got a huge laugh out of your parts bin tour, nice C8 for sure,
Bye the way thank you for that kind comment the other day, meant to say something and then… forgot, sorry.
I used those lighted switches for my Krono box set t #121,

Pills, the X1 is 1.0 pitch 27.23mm , Z1 is 1.25 pitch x 27.3mm, Com* junk is 1.25 pitch (of course) but 27.8mm…
Big difference unfortunately.
Went to get the X1’s and well Paul failed to tell me that stock was low, oh well later time I suppose.
I think I might have found the holly cool grail of flashlights though using my spy type translator gear and a lot of work, take a look at some of the lights, I think they’re pretty good and look to the right edge on this page if you can actually view the pages and look at some of those lights, I think they’re great, X1 styled heat sink fins and then some, Nice lights all over here

The Miller, do you have a 1 or 2cell tube from the convoy l2? Ifso could you check if they Lego? It would be an easy way of making it in a 2 cell light.

The Miller might be sleeping but I’m not so the answer is… Yes it does, darn thing is that I have checked every ext I have except the most obvious the L2 so saw your question and went digging and it fits, that is the half tube of course with the rings not blocked and the rings and knurling look real good, it’s about a half inch to 3/4 shorter than the L2 standing on their heads, but it does look good, I can’t believe I missed that ext so thanks for the question and helping me rearrange my junk closet.
I took a bunch of pics but it’s almost 3am PCT and I am whipped so heading to bed and with upload those pictures to my bucket and then post them here,
Ah the heck with that, might as well get them up now

!

Jaxman X1 and Convoy L2 half tube extension lego

!

Wauw T18, thanks for your kind words!
and for the nice slideshow.
Don’t have a L2 so would not be able to test it.
I think it looks awesome with those rings of knurling.

Thanks The Miller, had to Google Wauw hahaha put thanks again
I don’t recall the how or why I ended up with the pictures in that format I posted, but I was so tired by then I wasn’t changing anything and went to bed,

I'd like that. Please make me one? Actually just started on NarsilTriple coding right now, and saw this come up - should have had that switch all along...

 How did I know that would catch your eye Tom ha ha, I’m always watching your coding work or talk/post I should say and looking at this light I kept wondering if it’s doable with most the hole drilled already, now need to finish it through and a recess, better sending it to Dale and his lathe or bag it, might be unrealistic, maybe figure out a LED for battery voltage indicator, maybe a mini USB charging system OR, a twisty knob for those magnetic UI infinite I think they call it, I have it on a few lights, might be able to put one of those thumb wheels forward roll backward roll, sounds like I’m making it more difficult already, I better see if the batteries work first ha ha, Best to you Tom, your the switch man for real… You were the first member to welcome me here and told me to hide my wallet, I forgot I think until now…

X1 on the left NW, and the L2 CW from about 2ft from my wall, the X1 is rather large you think,

Tom has a lot to answer for here and I believe the sole cause of your empty wallet.
