ENEDED

Pre-order has yet to start.

If it is indeed rainbow pvd coated like it appears to be the finish should actually be quite durable. Much more so than bare non magnetic stainless which will scratch very easily. I just don’t personally like the rainbow finish with the copper. Now an all blue pvd like on some of the Olight bezels would be sweet.

Put me down for 1 Nichia SS and 1 extension tube please. Interested in gift box if price right.

Please tell, before its too late for preordering. I want to wait for a review to answer my questions.

Edit:
Please two flashlights:

Nichia with 18650 tube.
XP-G3 heat threated with 18650 tube

Why are the manufactured materials listed different? On the heat treated page for the s41 shows is made of aluminum while on the non treated page it shows its made of stainless steel?

In for 1 Nichia SS pre-order. Will S41S threads mate with A6 tubes?

Patience, my friend.

Typo.

Will confirm with vendor soon.

Poor Freeme, he told us they are glued yet we still want to see the insides so bad, it is very hard to hold our horses!
Thanks for asking for dome patience Freeme, we now know you will battle the glue and be victorious! :+1:

I could access the pill portion easily as the cheap glue wasn't that strong ... but optic was glued to the inner rim of the pill. I tried to pop up the optic by force but I failed. Excessive force would scratch the inner side of the optic and leave ugly tool marks. Not good at this stage as I have not done beam shot and tint comparison.

Put me down for the SS
XP-G3 and a SS 18650 tube AND a heat treated 18650 tube too please… (if that’s possible)

Thanks

Possibly, they want to hide that the manufacturer is probably still manker.

Heat gun would probably release optic. But what a bummer… :person_facepalming:

No that would not make sense… They send Freeme a sample knowing the audience so knowing there is a 99,9% chance of us wanting to see the inner parts.
Idk but the glue was mentioned before and so was another manufacturer and if they wanted to do it sneaky it would have been much easier not to glue and use a ledboard and driver without branding. So with what we now know it seems pretty straight forward and honest.

;)

Thank you Martin

Thanks! Iis that a nichia? How is your tint?

These are xp-g3’s

This light looks beautiful. I’m soooOOOOO tempted.

Biggest downside for me would be the weight. I already find the copper-aluminum S-41 to be too heavy for comfortable pocket EDC. I hesitate to purchase an even heavier steel one no matter how pretty is is.

If I’m not mistaken, on the photo of the LED board, the black wire going to the + on the board means they addressed the concerns from the S41/E14. Does that seem right?

yes

btw: it sucks 9,8 A from my bench power supply @ 4V
