You may well be rightā¦ I guess i havenāt been addicted to fl long enough to tell wether other Convoy lights have borrowed some existing design. In that particular case the two lights have exactly the same body, material and finish except for the dots/grooves. Honestly i donāt care. Just surprised.
I think this is just a product that Simon is selling, not something he is making himself. I see no reference to the convoy brand on the listing or the light?

I believe those flashlights have many other names on chinese market - someone here gave some examples.
First version Convoy L2 was Dipper D19, current one probably as well. Didnāt researched L6 and know of no clones - but you see a pattern.
Having said that I still prefer Convoy anytime. Proven quality, reliable and even good looking western-centric logo(no chinese squiggles or chinglish)

I received two of them NW a few days ago.
Very nice SS AAA light. I like the brushed metal, its weight and overall design.
The nice thing is the twist head can be locked off by turning it a bit more then half a turn so it wont wiggle or come apart when off. You cannot remove the head actually. Itās a bit hard to turn it on one handed once locked though.
I wish it had two or three modes rather then just on/off like the BLF 348ā¦ BUT that makes it a nice gift for people who have trouble with modes - most people i know in factā¦
I also wish the packaging would be nicer then the minimalist plain white self destructing cardboard boxā¦ My two lights where loose in the envelope when i received them - they had come out of their āpackageā. They where not protected by a bubble wrap sleeve either - just a tiny bit of bubble wrap tucked along, not enough to go around. I was lucky they where not damaged.
Iāll probably get a few moreā¦ and add a comment about packaging at order time.

Speaking of light output, this light is not a top performer either but it is very decent.
The beam is rather focused compared to other AAA i have and does throw further. However it is very āringyā and ārainbowyā - if that makes sense. Iāll try to post some beam shots.
Itās not perfectā¦ but it is sooo cute! Iām glad to add it to my AAA lineup.
I noticed this light couple of days ago at banggood named convoy tiny.
This is a nice light and I like the SS finishing but wish it could have more output as other lights in its class have 90 lumens or more.

I would say it is, but this is hard to tell since it is a matter of taste and personal perception. Iām also wondering whether i should get an other tint for my next order but they look either bluish or yellowish. The 5000K version is still a NW, only it has a slightly greenish tint. Frankly i donāt think i would have worried about it if you didnāt ask - but thatās just me.
