You may laugh but I think I have just recently started to separatelly save to different account for Grand Seiko
Care to share the model ? spring drive ?
My favorite is the SBGJ017 high beat automatic GMT
Not sure yet but not chrono, or a black dialed one. May not be over 40mm in size.
“Snow flake” looks very nice but I´m not really sure. No sure even if a new or used one but I think I still have plenty of time to think it
Some nice timepieces here.
I have always worn a watch, since my father gave his Seiko auto diver when I went into the Army in the early 80’s. I fell incapacitated in the middle of a 2 week field exercise, and it mysteriously disappeared in the medivac process.
My most recent acquisition:
Spinnaker Spence, 42mm, NH36, PVD case, Matte OD green dial, and 3mm thick water resistance treated leather band, along with a NATO strap. I took off the buckle and added a dual deployment clasp, because the strap is so thick & stiff.
Got a 20mm nylon watch band for my Timex Expedition Crono from this eBay seller for $1.42 each. The quality is excellent, especially for the price. They come in 18mm as well. They’re available 4 different colors. I purchased 3 in brown, black, and green.
Jack, I’m a simple, no-nonsense kind of guy. Saving money anyway I can is in my blood ever since I retired. BTW, so far I love it too. Time will tell if it lasts.
I received a Tritium watch I will be reviewing soon…a Carnival with day/date functions. Took it to Canada for a nice visit to the Rocky Mountains. Very impressed with it so far…kind of a new favorite…

No one, after lighting a lamp, puts it away in a cellar nor under a basket, but on the lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light.
I just received this $199 Tisell 40mm Pilot Type A watch from S. Korea. This is a very nice watch for the price. Miyota 9015, slighty domed sapphire with AR coating, heat threated blue hands and nice brushed SS 316L case. If you guys looking for a budget pilot type watch, this is the one to have. The accuracy is amazing on mine = +0.5s after a day.
I ordered this inexpensive 20mm stainless steel watch band for my Timex Expedition Chronograph. Cost only $16.90 with free shipping. It looks great for the price. Hopefully, it’s not a POS.

pretty sure that is the same thing i got, from ebay, it’s pretty good.
after 3-4 months, the pin holding the ‘2nd clasp’ fell out, i managed to fix it myself, but i also emailed the ebay seller and he sent me a whole new clasp mechanism.

Here. He raised his price to $18.90. Still a great deal if you ask me. Just noticed he’s charging a dollar now for shipping.

i like it but the links are the TINIEST bit sharp edged, plus the clasp part can be a bit snaggy/sharp edged too.
and it;s heavy, which is good if you like that.
it does look good, i will give it that, for about 80% less than the original (european?) design. (MILTAT, maybe..?)

Got my new watch band. I had to remove 5 out of the 6 removable links to fit my 7.25” wrist. The pins that hold the links together are push pins, not screw types as shown in the listing. Other than that, it’s a solid band. Looks and feels much more expensive than the $17 I paid for it.
Looks better in person than it does in the pictures.

Cool! I had to adjust the clasp with a pair of needle nose pliers to make it tighter. It was opening too easily. It’s nice and tight now For the money, I can’t complain. Besides, it’s on a $60 Timex.

Harry, super nice looking watch! Totally my style! Is it manual wind, auto, or quartz?
Boycott Nike
It’s an auto with high beat 28,800BPH, manual winding and hacking. The movement is Miyota 9015.
Nice! can you post where you got it from?
Boycott Nike
Sure.

My “super engineer” also arrived from Aliexpress. I’m quite impressed although the clasp could be better but I can’t complain for this price.
