Those are actually kind of cool…. durability, accuracy, worry-free quartz + the flair of a mechanical balance wheel and automatic wind rotor to drive the seconds complication.

thanks Kramer, sounds like you know a thing or two about watches…
Mmmm…. watches, another of my passions
Love Casio, actually. Best bung for the buck. There are much nicer watches out there, but for the price – Casio.
Right now I have this Edifice EF-318, very accurate, about 2 sec. per month (instead of, official, +/- 20 sec). My wrist is quite small, so not all watches are for me And I really like those G-Shock models, but they are too bulky (on my wrist, of course). So, I use my, ol’ known model – DB 36 – as my digital watch. It has everything that I need, but it’s not so ergonomic My other W-E11 model was much better in this aspect.
Yeah, I too have only that one watch and it is more on the budget side, as Ledsmoke said also.
But I was more interested on the budget side of watches when posting this up, naturally I have a dream of getting an Omega, like my dad but a) new Seamasters just look not so good when I compare them to old ones b) they cost megabucks, pretty sure I would have second thoughts after getting one…
Lovely collection Kramer, I like the modded Seikos, being meaning to get a Yobokies mod for a while now.
Anyway here’s my EDC (crappy phone pic, gives a flavour tho’)
Yeah Seiko makes a great watch for the $$. Mine was modded by Michael Lively of WUS. Its a tribute to the original no radiation logo BP from the 50s…. but with Seiko monster hands. If you see a modded Seiko for a good price don’t hesitate, they generally go fast.
Just thought I’d BUMP this thread for the other watch guys with this Costco deal I saw a week or so ago…
I have a couple watches, many I have broke over the years. : (
But my main watch is the one I’ve been wearing every day for years, it’s an old Soviet 1960’s Vostok. It’s my favorite watch I’ve ever had, it’s only had to be tuned up twice in it’s lifetime so far.
I love it’s ridiculous simplicity, it only has two modes, wind and set. I figure it’s been going for almost 50 years it’s gotta be good. Never have to change the battery.
Had it about three years. I need something to tell 24 hour time, for work and I wanted to still see a regular clock face. Much more accurate and dependable than the timex watches I always used to buy. Bought it cheap on ebay.
I don’t take care of watches, so I needed one to take care of me, even if I wasn’t nice to it.
It is a heavy watch, but I don’t even notice any more.

I’m currently EDW-ing a Casio W-752, that I got at a 70% discount
Where I can get one too? (with that discount, of course  )
You can get it here: http://www.clasohlson.com/se/Sportklocka/Pr364220000 but unfortunately I can’t recommend that you buy it; their charge for delivery outside of Sweden is ridiculous: 395 SEK or about 45 EUR. They have stores in the UK, but as far as I can tell they only deliver within the UK
Before you get a radio controlled watch, make sure it can reach the signal in the area you are living in.
Its been a hectic 2 weeks, were all moved and our new place has a pool. Went swimming with the kids today and got to test a new water-resistant camera bag. Just some cell phone pics for now.
The photo on the left is professionally done, and is copied from Amazon.com.
The photo on the right is not-so-professional. It was taken by an ancient 1.3 megapixels Canon PowerShot A10, in low-light with the flash on. (My family's much nicer digital camera was not available.)
That must make it tough to keep the crystal from scratching as well as making it damned near impossible to play the piano well. Might I suggest wearing it on your wrist?
We have a Timex outlet near me that my gal and I will be visiting as soon as I have some spare $$. They have great prices and a great selection.

Not a great picture as it was taken in pitch black, but I do like this watch. It was a gift from my wife.

Some people like their wrist watches to be accurate:

Wow, some nice pics have landed here!

Just here to say: ordered a 10$ beater for work use

Also, sent my Seagull ST5 for maintenance, seemed to run a bit too fast for considered as a proper functioning.

Have you just tuned it up twice, no lubing or service yet??
Great thing, if it just goes on for ages…
Just got a “new” Sea-Gull ST5 for my wife.
This one is with date. Paid around 30$ for it and I´m pretty pleased with it. Strap was about 8$ extra.
Just received this!

Pretty much as “bang-for-buck” as it gets for this price, bought it used.

I’ve been a watch enthusiast for years, but at the time I got sick with flashlight, I sold many of my watches. These are the remaining.
G-shock mudman
G-shock gravity defier

Traser super sport
Orient Mako Blue
Vostok-Europe Vostok
I regret I sold my Citizen Promaster, sometimes…
Here are all my reviews on BLF
I’ve owned only a few watches so far, but my wish list for watches is even longer than my wish list for flashlights.
This one is a watch I stumbled over in several forums and when there was the chance (and the money) to get a piece in good condition, I bought it.
Looks beautiful on photographs, but really lost its magic quickly (for me), so I traded it (or sold it, dunno).
btw:
Great watches in this thread, very nice to see other members on BLF share the same hobbies !

Always been a big fan of Casio…this is my EDC that I like a lot. Love having solar.
PA40, O.L. Mule TS, Fenix EO1, Old Dorcy 1xAAA Gen 2 (Link), Princeton Tec
I cannot be called a fan of flight watches but this is not bad.
Had to do even some further googling for this
