I have seriously been thinking to get SKX007 but I have only about 6.5-7” wrist so 43mm is a bit, hmmm…..
38mm on the other hand is just good or even a tad small- ATM I use 40mm watches, I like the size.
I have about 6.5” wrist too. Don’t worry in the past I have limit myself to not get watches bigger than SKX007 but ended up buying larger watches like Sumo and MM300 (sold :_( ). I think the biggest I could go for my wrist now is Sumo. SKX007 is so small for me now. Best thing about them is they tend to look smaller than actual size because of the bezel and smaller dial. 40mm pilot watches would look ridiculous on me though because of the larger dial.
Just submitted a offer of $22.50 (about $20US) on a Casio HDD-S100-1AV and it was accepted.
The one on the left is the one I just bought, the one on the right is a HDD-S100-3AV and actually has a green band.
I’m tempted to buy a green one and swap the black faced module into the black one.
Currently I wear a Casio G-Shock DW-5600E but I’m trying to decide my favorite black on black version similar to the the DW-5600MS-1 before I buy anything else.
Also I have been interested in the Seiko and Orient Mako “Pepsi” watches but don’t know much about them.

Nice catch! That watch will run forever with solar.
It wont run forever with solar actually – it doesnt have internal battery, which means if you get stuck in arctic night without flashlight to charger up this watch, it will go blank on you :D!
It doesnt have backlight either, otherwise I would have bought it long time ago – it looks great and has 200M rating :D!
Yep only lasts 14 days without light and doesn’t have a backlight, that should be a excuse to EDC a small flashlight
I’m not sure 100% but I read on a forum something like the capacitor can last up to xx months to keep the time as it disables the display before its fully depleted. I didn’t see any mention of nthat at the Casio web site though.
Actually the only time I ever use the light on my DW-5600 is when I’m in bed trying to sleep but I have a phone right next to me as well.
Its slightly bigger than the DW-5600 which is fine with me cos I have very thick wrists but my brother will probably end up with it as I know I’ll prefer my DW-5600 a lot more.
I’d really like something with dual time and a count down timer, at the moment I have both but not in the same watch.
Hi! got my member of the Scuba Dude family from Meranom, red second hand not in stock so I grabbed chromed just before it also sold out, thinking of adding a strap like yours but black and grey

Hi
I was waiting for a couple of weeks before I could order mine.
A black and grey nato would match your version with the chromed second hand quite well.
Have you tested the accuracy of yours?
Mine is around +3 sec/day which I consider awesome in this price range.
Have not done any real tests of my Amphibia but I really like both the look and feel of it though next time before taking pics I will polish it funny how good the camera is at showing up dust and marks from greasy fingers!
The new watch I got next to my DW5600, I gave it to my brother but hes never worn it since.
A bit blurry but it was the only pic I took.
Looks good, I wonder IF internal capacitor can be replaced with rechargeable battery and THEN internal SMD led added, yeah, too much to ask, but battery mod should be doable :D!
Ezark, can you take it apart to see how it looks in this regard?
It doesn’t seem much bigger than the DW5600. How does it wear?
Will you try a negative display mod on it?
On his wrist
Actually hes just put it on once (when I gave it to him) and wears the old F-91W I gave him ages ago when his watch broke.
I think most negative display mods look bad as the digits are too thin (the few I’ve seen anyway), the module out of the green one with the black display would be nice but I wont be buying one.

I don’t have it anymore but if I get the chance I could pull the module out and take some pics.
I had this picture taken for a different thread. Two birds with one stone! I've been a fan of Citizen watches and this one has become my daily. (Under UV light)
Got one of these today for $17 shipped. I have some expensive watches, but I tend to wear them only on special occasions. This is perfect for an EDC. Cheap, decent looking, and analog which prefer over digital anyday of the week..
Yes and no. They are technically less accurate than quartz movements but usually more consistent, which some people say is better. Mine usually loses about a minute a month on the dot. But I change watches like socks so I have to set my autos every time I go back to them. That’s why I’ve been looking at the Seiko solar versions, though I don’t mind setting a watch I like. This is one I like. I’m also a big fan of Citizen Eco Drive.
I like some Seikos.

Thanks.

Nice one! Is the chromed second hand something new?
Mine says hello:

Really diggin' the Nite MX10 I recently acquired.
The tritium vials in this piece are simply super. I swear you can read a business card within 2-3 inches from it's dial in total darknes
Accuracy is spot on.

I use a galaxy gear..pretty sweet
That pip-boy is cool!
I have this Seiko in my shopping cart. I’ve been wanting to see what Seiko’s version of the Eco Drive is like.
That Seiko 5 is nice. Camping out on my wish list on Amazon is this Seiko 5.
"Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not."
I love my Seiko 5. You can still get the model I have for about $50 on Amazon.
I bought these automatic Seiko's several years ago. Great watches, although I don't wear them too often.

Do they keep their time well?
"Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not."
No where near as accurate as a quartz watch. They average 10 to 15 seconds a day fast. Although they can be adjusted for better accuracy.
