What’s the best high performance battery for this? AW IMR 16340?

Yeah it would probably be brighter yet on IMR but it would drain the battery very quick, and they are not protected against over-discharge. I don’t have any; but I’d like to try it though!

i received one yesterday from easylightbuy.com. Its very bright on high running in on ultrafire protected 16340. Very useful low wich doesnt get to hot running it continious. Read a magazine yesterday for about 20 min in medium mode last night without any heat issues. Quite hard to handle though with one hand though because of the non aggressive knurling even though I lubed the dry threads. Not a big problem though. Quite pleased with the light. Nice finish on my light.

Last order took 11 days with CN post, previous order placed May 20 arrived 9days later. That one used HK post. Quick deliveries to Sweden I think Smile

ANyone tried to Mod this light with a 17mm NANJNG driver?
Thanks

EDIT:

Just realized that twisty lights use different type of driver, Now I have two of this that I can’t mod, Love the size and form. It would have been great if this have a lower low.

Just got a lux meter, and I think I can get pretty close on lumens/lux judging by known sources like my Zebralights. I am getting approximately 550 lumens on high and 80 lumens on low with this light. Around 2000 lux on high as well.

Edit: 533 lumens on high, 69 lumens on low.

Yep that’s me. I’m usually use dajabec on forums but I tried Tecmo on a whim and when it was open (shocker) I stuck with it. Smile

My Mini-01 arrived the other day. I ordered one after reading about them here Smile
They are a great little light.

I’m using LifeP04’s in mine.
I noticed the maximum rated voltage is 3.6volts. Is it safe to run 3.7v(4.2v) 16340’s or IMR’s in this light?

Cheers
Matt

Thanks Barrie Smile

I’ve just ordered a couple of Yezl 16340’s to try. They are rated at 3.2A max discharge, so should do the trick.

I’m getting good results with Ultracell 16340 LifeP04’s off ebay. £1.56 for 1 including free postage.
The have an unrealistic 1200MAh printed on them, but i’m getting the same performance as AW’s 500mAh lifeP04’s.
Only thing is with them not being protected, there is the danger of running them too low in the little Mini-01.

Cheers
Matt

Good stuff Smile
What charger are you using?
I’m using an Xtar mp2 on the 3v setting. Seems to be a nice charger.
I had an Ultrafire WF138A, but it was faulty.

Cheers
